Notts County v Torquay United K O 3pm

Post by portugull »

An important Match for United who will be buzzing after their second half rout of a resolute Boreham Wood side on Tuesday.

I am going for a win for United 2 - 1 but expect a tough battle.

Really hope you are right Portugull , at least they won't have their big crowd behind them
Praying that Hall is fit , I think this is his best season for us so far. The bloke has everything that is needed to get us out of this division

No hall today and not on the bench and waters on his own up front so will not be winning many aerial battles.

Here's the link to purchase the stream. It's up and running, working perfectly for me.

Dirty over the top tackle. Definitely a red card. :red:

Typical Notts County have always see them as a dirty bunch of barstewards since they kicked us off the pitch in a league cup game back in 79-80. Brian Kilcline made his debut. What a name for a defender !!

Randall is having a brilliant game - running central mid.

I think we are going to need 2 to win this. Notts look very capable of scoring

I do not see the benefit of Umerah in the squad, or am I missing something?

Realise he has scored a couple but not much of anything else.

I honestly don’t know!!

Palace lad on the bench & not used in 2 games what’s the point of getting him.

Umerah is useless

I don’t see what he offers, all the good chances we create it falls to him and he can’t head on target or shoot on target.

We bring in forward from palace and has this so called reputation.

Even if he’s 60% fit get him on and get the minutes, he couldn’t do any worse.

Umerah simply isn’t a goal threat.

It is a decent point today but feel we missed a trick today with selection.

Big big game on Tuesday - Sutton can potentially catch us on points with their 3 games in hand (not including Tuesday) leaving us only goal difference as the difference.

Hopefully GJ will not need to put Umerah on the pitch !

I'm not jumping on the Umerah is useless wagon - my gut feeling is it's a confidence thing at the moment and re him playing ahead of Street I long since gave up on thinking I knew more than GJ! Street will get his chance when it's the right time, we should be assured of that.

I thought it was a really hard fought game today, I was worried seeing Hall out and how small our attacking players were but from front to back they fought and matched Notts' bigger physical presence. Randell was exceptional and Whitfield looked brilliant each of the few times he got a run at them. The back 4 looked as solid as I've seen since losing Wynter to injury (a few dodgy back passes aside!). Sheaf was an impressive deputy for Hall and looks a good addition.

Other results broadly went well and today reassured me that on our day we can play as worthy champions. Whether that opportunity will shortly be taken away from us remains to be seen. It would be such a shame if misadministration and politics (ignoring public health on the basis that I fail to believe any clubs really are deciding to end the season for that reason) did see that being the case though.

Callling Umeirah useless is completely ridiculous.

How many times have you seen Street play? - probably nought I guess so shut up. Hard fought game in which we got a deserved point. Some people seemed to think that we are going to win every game 6-0.

We hammered Boreham Wood on Tuesday but Stockport couldn't beat them today. Whats the point of worrying about Sutton.
