Just seen that Lavercombe has been released by Wigan. Always thought he was a capable keeper.

For all the great (in context) youngsters we've had through the system at Plainmoor Lavercombe has to rate as one of the best 'keepers. Better potential I would say than Matthew Gregg,

He was very poor and mistake ridden. Not for me at all.

He was a kid! At least 10 years off his prime bearing in mind he's a 'keeper and their best years generally come post 30.
