I would think this defeat has come at right time. Let's keep the positivity. Think back on September we would have laughed if we thought we were in this position

And it appeared we have inherited another blatant homer today and guess what? there seems to be a pattern emerging.
Too right: the Gulls never lose when they have a "brucie" authenticated decent referee (and never win without one?)
Another well researched, incisive, objective report from that legendary, unbiased, online armchair-reporter " brucie", who knows that the referee is always to blame when Torquay lose and isn't afraid to state the facts. I suppose that it couldn't be that Torquay lost to a better team on the day?

GJ not happy with the ref but blames the team for the loss "not professional", "won't let this result mess us up for the rest of the season"

Not too worried about our defeat (or indeed whether Woking win on Tuesday night.

After Tuesday night they have 14 fixtures left and only have 5 of these at home. Something like 7 out of 9 of their last fixtures have been at home.

They still have to go to Chelmsford, Dartford, Welling and Bath.

Sounds like we were outsmarted today. Our record against those teams immediately below us is not good. Certainly wouldn’t fancy us in the play-offs.

That run of games Chelmsford-Billericay-Dartford-Concord-Wealdstone-Woking in March and April will present a big test for our young squad.

Just out of interest, how old is he? He comes across as bloody immature.

Not surprising our young team can't handle teams
like Welling who wind us up and get in the referees ear. That is a concern going into the final 14 games but we have to learn quickly. Let's hope Welling do the same v Woking.

Really poor from Gerring ... and to think it was us that gave him his chance at National League level!

Fair enough, he’s clearly “made his bed and can now lie in it” as the saying goes .... his actions will certainly mean that he will never receive a good reception at Plainmoor again (no doubt he will still “winge” on twitter when he does though!) ... and am surprised at his actions given that (as far as I am aware) he still lives locally.

Disappointing in the fact we didn’t turn up. Should have been a sending off or play on with our advantage with the keeper on the floor. McDonald takes a bit of blame for me for first goal as his position made the forwards mind up . If you last defender is one on one with the forward, surely you have to drop off as GK. Didn’t deserve much to be honest. Anyway, long way to go, and lots of twists and turns ahead.
