Let's hope they don't make the same mistake as a year ago and get someone straight in.

Who are the likely candidates?

lets be honest we all know its going to be todd & hodges...

wouldn't be surprised at ex united players taking over at the helm, personally id like to see experienced manager come in with contacts who can get loan players in (STRIKER NOW)

Quite surprised to be honest but Saturday was poor. Chippenham were a team we should have beaten out of sight.

Where do we go from here? - god knows but if anyone seems to think that appointing Joyce or Rogers is the answer - it isn't.

Why do we know its going to be Hodges and Todd - we have been down the ex player route. These to numpties did ok at Truro but that was a team with about zero expectations.

Managing Torquay is a totally different kettle of fish and Todd failed on a bigger budget at Eastleigh whilst Hodges has all the charisma of a corpse.

So on the pulse that they announced that he is probably staying just 4 hours ago! https://www.devonlive.com/sport/torquay ... rs-1995294

The article also slipped in the "Osborne, who has still not seen United play this season, has placed his close associate George Edwards, a director of Osborne’s Gaming International group, in charge of week-to-week affairs at Plainmoor."

What exactly does Harrop do now that he is not involved in the football matters or the week to week affairs at plainmoor? Is he the day to day guy?!

I hope it is not a case of 'Be careful what you wish for".

I for one, really wanted Mr Owers to succeed, he is an honourable man and he did his best and brought in a new squad. However, some of the recent performances have been so very poor, his position became untenable. I wish him all the very best for the future. Now we move on and the rumours will be upon us. It is imperative that, whoever comes in, has contacts within the game and gets a striker or two in quickly, (a creative midfield player wouldn't do any harm as well). It is time for Mr Harrop and Mr Osborne to face the media and COMMUNICATE with us - the loyal supporters. Hungerford should be very interesting, Asa Hall as captain? COYG

Agreed but I have a feeling they will go for Tully anyway.

I would like to think that we have a replacement lined up, These players need a strong manager and structure/game plan to follow, hopefully this is the start of us moving the right way up the table.
