Wow. A proper match. By the end the Woking players were clinging on by their finger tips and their fans had their heads in their hands; 'Two nil and you f#cked it up!'
In those last minutes, the atmosphere was electric and the players fought tooth and nail to win/keep the ball and played with great intensity. If a header from one of those late corners had gone in the roof would have come of the Pop side.

That was one of the most enjoyable home games for some time. This was always going to be a tough game, Woking are a well drilled compact side who are by far the best team I ve seen so far in this league.
Woking were by far the better side in the first half. They won every battle on the pitch and deserved to go in at the interval in front. Their back four were extremely solid, their midfield controlled everything and we really struggled. Their first goal being a big deflection however their second was a good individual goal, yes our defender should have done better but it was a good finish.
Then GJ had seen enough and made the changes which brought a complete change in momentum and we really should have pulled a goal back just before HT.
Second half was a complete battle, we just never gave up and you could just start to see the confidence starting to flow. The Bristol loanees were at the heart of everything. Reid was excellent today and thoroughly deserved his MOM with two goals. Brett W came on with imo a great tactical sub bringing Wynter off. Top sub GJ.

I massive mention to the crowd who were excellent today. OSBOURNE today was the day you should have been there to watch and support your team. You might have even enjoyed yourself.

Would just about have taken that before the game
and certainly at half time. As good in the 2nd half
as we were poor in the first. Andrews can't quite get consistency with his dead balls Tries to put pace on them but ends up overhitting them , very dangerous when he gets them right though.
Jannehs finishing will improve when he relaxes
a bit but at least he is getting in the positions
Like to see Edwards taking on his defender more on the outside. Gary Johnson only been here
for 3 games but there is improvement already

Well that was more like it, a proper game of football.

We played them off the park in the second half. With 15 minutes left I thought it wasn’t to be for us, but we kept fighting. And that’s something that we haven’t done for a long time now. GJ is a proper manager and it’s clear to see the improvements.

I agree with a previous post, we were wasteful and had enough chances to win the game. I think we need a system that includes Williams; he’s a cut above Keating, who works hard but lacks quality. With Reid and the new lad to do the running up top it could well be an option...

See you at Eastbourne.

Massive props for Gary Johnson, letting Reid off the lead and to do what he likes, don’t even think we’ve seen the best version of him yet.

Opi was solid on the wing once Wynter went off.

Want to see the team we ended with start next week.

This was a big game for his reputation and Gary Johnson delivered. you get the feeling as stated previously he had enough after 43 minutes to make a statement of intent. Wouldn't be at surprised that Regis goes out on loan somewhere, probably western super mare. Coming back from 2-0 down with 11 minutes on the clock, feels like a win. But morale will overtake that feeling. Made up for Reid but you get the feeling Johnson will be busy in the transfer market, 12 shots off target before we scored is evident we need a prolific goal scorer

Game of two halves.
They were the better team until 2-0 down and GJ brought two on, and seemed to switch to more of a 4-2-4.
This gave us width and 2 on 2 up front against their center backs and we were on top all second half. Every time the ball went over or through their defense we looked like scoring.
Impressed with his call with the subs, and on second half form we can go up.

Our 23 was rubbish, what is his name??

Nice to see Tony Currie also at the match

One of the super-subs that changed the game and caused their defence a problem every time the ball went over or through

Yes, it's very easy to be over critical of Janneh's performance, he did miss a couple of sitters, but for me it's about the bigger picture, and about seeing what all of us fans sometimes miss.

For a start he is a very young player, not sure how much senior football experience he has , it can't be a lot, if any. As already stated, his pace, movement and trickery, was causing Woking's defence to have kittens at times, sure I've read a comment somewhere, apologies can't remember where or by whom, about Janneh's very presence on the field freeing up Jamie Reid, something I totally agree with.

For me the important thing is, Janneh kept, time and time again, getting himself in good attacking positions, he may well have been a tad over eager to impress, this may have caused a lack of composure in his finishing, he'll settle down and that will come, as said the important thing is, he's getting himself in the right place to finish regularly.

Absolutely right Forever. This young lad above Williams anytime. He was a real handful and has shown elsewhere his ability to score goals.

Janneh may have missed 3 good chances but the important point is we created these clear chances because of his ability.
He will score goals for us and that to date has been our problem but things are changing.
5 goals in 8 games ans now 11 in 3 games.
