I was there for that one too mate.

My Argyle supporting cousin didn't stop taking the piss so I lamped him one and have never been allowed to forget it ;-)

Possible they could better that crowd with us, after all it is their cup final now. ;-)

After we do the double over them, I'll be very much looking forward to returning some of the abuse i've had from my Argyle supporting mates over the years. :scarf:

I was there that day (Boxing Day, 1969) when the former Co-op Welfare milkman (Mike Bickle) scored 4 goals, Norman Piper getting the other 2 goals.

Was stood on the Lyndhurst Road side, the attendance being 17,128

If my memory is correct, it was 2-0 at ht with 4 second half goals at the Devonport End.

Trojan i remember going to plymouth v torquay match when it hit just over the 20,000 mark but not sure what year it was,seeing the great :keepie: pele :keepie: at home park also sticks in my head when plymouth played santos in front of a 38,000 crowd at home park.

October 1968 2-1 win for Torquay with goals from Jimmy Dunne and Alan Welsh. Crowd 20810 :keepie:

It was the previous season : 1968/69

October 5th 1968 at Home Park, attendance 20,810. Result 2-1 win to Torquay.

Honestly, ask him to remember to do up his fly when he leaves the men's room, or to recall when it is his round, and he just can't do it. Ask him about an obscure attendance from the age before Fred and Wilma Flintstone and it comes straight to his mind.
