Torquay United has welcomed some extra special guests to Plainmoor recently, with our Community Guest partnerships and Team Tours proving to be a huge success! The Club would like to place on records its thanks to both South Devon College and Torquay United Community Sports Trust for providing local football-mad youngsters with the opportunity to experience live football at Plainmoor by organising our Community Guest visits – with some of the children tasting the matchday action for the very first time! TUFC would also like to place on record its sincere appreciation to The Steel Robinson Family of West Bromwich for sponsoring our exciting Team Tour packages. Our long-running Community Guest visits have been an integral part of matchdays at Torquay United for many years now, with our partnerships with South Devon College and Torquay United Community Sports Trust seeing local schools from all across the Torbay and surrounding area invited to watch a league match as guests of the club in our Family Stand. Judging by the enthusiastic chanting and cheering we often hear from them, the groups clearly enjoy the experience! After being greeted by a member of Club staff, the group will be invited to take part in a penalty shoot-out or matchday challenge, before forming a guard of honour ahead of the United players making their way out onto the hallowed turf! To make the experience even more fantastic, our Team Tour groups will also receive a matchday programme, and a professional picture taken by our fantastic official club photographers, Pinnacle Photo Agency!
