Torquay United would like to send heartfelt thanks to two local businesses that have shown their support for the Club in the most inventive of ways in recent weeks.
Peter Ling, owner of the local ‘London Boy Blue’ Ice Cream Vans, is a familiar face around Torbay, and has been a regular visitor at Plainmoor to support events in the past, including the Club’s popular Community Days. Upon hearing about United’s recent predicament, Ling stepped up by coming up with a wonderful initiative that will not only help to boost the Club’s finances, but will also bring plenty of enjoyment to adults and children alike! Exclusively available from London Boy Blue Ice Cream Vans, their new United Cone or United Twin ice creams are not only a delicious treat bedecked in The Gulls’ famous yellow & blue colours, but 50p from every purchase made will go directly to TUFC, to help ensure ensure professional football remains at Plainmoor.
Supporters attending tomorrow’s home match against Dartford (08/03/24 3pm KO) will have a chance to check them out, with vans stationed at both the JMV Family Stand and Wollens Terrace ends of the stadium.
