Torquay United announce the departure of Sri Lankan winger Dillon De Silva. Former QPR wideman De Silva initially arrived at Plainmoor on loan from The Hoops in October 2022, before signing for United on a permanent basis following his release from the Championship side last August. Having making 48 appearances and scored 7 goals for The Gulls, Interim Manager Aaron Downes paid tribute to the player, who is now set to continue his career closer to home. “First and foremost, I’ve really enjoyed Dillon De Silva’s company, and we thank him for his efforts in training and games for Torquay United. “An opportunity came up for Dillon to be closer to his family and his home, he wanted to take that, and his match minutes for us has been limited of late. “We want to wish Dillon all the best for the future, and we thank him for his time and effort with Torquay United.”The post De Silva Departs first appeared on Torquay United.
