Every now and again a superstar is plucked from way down the pyramid, fingers crossed it’s our turn this time!

I’m not knocking the lad and wish him all the best, I’m merely stating that we haven’t addressed the hearing issue with replacing Jarvis and sign another midfield player.

I hope Ethon proves to be a great asset but based on GJ’s past history on but giving youngsters a chance I doubt there will much fame time in offer !

Or even game time! Hopefully plenty of opportunities for 'fame time' in this young lad's career. All the best Ethan!

I firmly believe this is exactly the type of squad player we should be signing. If we could get the first choice 13 /16 players right, a handful of guys like this would be very welcome. Some will work out and develop, while other may not.

I believe the negative comments reflect on the first choice element.

Give it a rest FFS.
You've already said this and it doesn't need repeating.

I totally agree with Mellow Yellow that it was amazing that Southampton scouted Nico Lawrence playing for Glebe FC who I had never heard of and what a "diamond in the rough" he turned out to be.

I think Ethon Archer must have something about him and Three Bridges are Top of their League.

Give him a chance guys!

I imagine if this forum had existed in the 90s, some people would have been moaning about us signing an unknown Kevin Hill from Torrington

I'm actually going to give this lad a chance and not pre judge him, he could be a "rough diamond" and just what we need, it's good to have a kind of "wild card" player, I'm sure he's rough around the edges, but GJ has been in the game a long time, surely he's seen something that merits a deal for him?, the previous comment about Kevin Hill is a great point,I'm keeping an open mind on him, and let's see what he can do.

I would not be surprise if he is cuptied but am not sure of the qualifying criteria. Having played at a lower level, he "may" of played in the FA Vase but NOT the FA Trophy. He is therefore stepping up a level, so I suggest he could be free to play, however if he played in the Trophy and stepped down, he would certainly be cuptied.

This is only my understanding ....but could be wrong, although it makes sense.

Three Bridges were knocked out in the 2nd qualifying round of this season's FA Trophy. I would imagine if Archer played in the competition he would be cup tied.
