Opi Edwards Signs On Loan

Post by portugull »

Opi Edwards signs on loan from Forest Green Rovers.

The injury that caused him so many problems in the past has been sorted.

Will give us some much needed pace.

Doesn't look like he has made a single appearance for FGR or has he been injured all season ?
Only 50 odd appearances under his belt in 4
or so seasons. Not excited by this.

Out of 4 Bristol City loanees, i believe that Opi was the best. I would love to see him sign for us next season.

I believe he is only on a one year contract at FGR which expires in June, so every possibility we could sign him on a full-time contract for next season if he is not in FGR future plans - which appears to be the case.

And we play him as a wing/full back?????? Please tell me if that’s a good idea.

He is in the last chance saloon, if he cant cut it in the next few games then that will be it for him. A free from FGR at the end of the season.

I'd love him to have a full injury free season with us and fulfill his potential, obviously a talented player but will he always be one of those injury prone players ? He won't get another contract with FGR especially if they go up though they are making hard work of that lately

What has happened to Opi? Is he still on loan to us? He hasn't been in the squad recently, so is he injured (again), or has he returned to FGR?

He came on for Lapslie against Dagenham.
