You have to remember we have our best players all signed up. This was never going to be all marquee signings. we have an experienced goalie now and the Colchester lad looks quite promising. There are triallist at the moment and GJ will have a couple loanees eyed up.

Happy overall with those signings.

Halstead, Lapslie and Lolos are definitely three impressive signings. Excited to see how Lolos does with a run of games.

Brzozowski should be a solid backup and has the potential to be more than that in the future.

Don't know too much about Martin, Omar or O'Connell but they all have decent pedigrees even if they haven't had too much first team experience. Nice to have a centre-back of Omar's size, and encouraging to hear O'Connell described as pacy and pretty versatile. Looking forward to seeing how these three do.

Only guessing here but if another club is in the hunt for Nemane then the delay may be down to the amount of compensation payment Torquay want for a under 24 year player and what the other club are willing to pay. It normal for two clubs to reach a mutual agreement on a compensation fee. However, if on the other hand the two clubs valuations differ the case will need to be settled through an arbitration process.

You see a football contract cannot be unilaterally terminated by any of the parties' unless there is 'Just Cause'. As Torquay, offered Nemane a new contract (U24) at least what he was on before, 'Just Cause' flew out the window,

On this basis it mean although Nemane previous contract expired the Club (Torquay) retain Nemane's registration until he signs for another Club and shall be entitled, without further payment to the Player to a Compensation Fee in respect of any subsequent transfer of his registration.

Hope it does not turn out to be another Kalala saga.

Watched him play in the u23's for Barnsley, as my mate's son plays for them.
Good young player, strong and quick - think he will be alright!

Well, that's nice. Gets paid for being injured for most of the season then f**ks off to our league rivals. Lovely stuff.

A real shame, Nemane was the one I would have chosen above all the others that left. However, we have to accept that there is no loyalty in football, and arguably why should there be. As fans it is hard to separate our emotional investment from what is a job, just like yours and mine, to the vast majority of players. Not to even bring the greedy agents in to it!

It's yet another huge sign of accolade to Gary and the rest of the club that our players have been targeted. As has been said by others, the NL has gone mad with clubs spending sums that will for many risk their very future.

I for one am glad Torquay are not one of them. For some of Notts, Stockport, Wrexham etc etc it may pay dividends but it can't for all and I'd rather be watching professional football in 10 years time, even if it's conference.

Team spirit and good management are things money often cant buy. We have those and so immediately have a fighting chance.

Just remember where we have been, where we could very easily have been and what the future could bring. Do this and just enjoy the ride!

The NL is a tough tough league, statistically the hardest to get out of! I am pretty optimistic with our business plus the fact we can still turn to our loan business which proved very fruitful last season. This league is turning is getting tougher and tougher every year and it is not the place for shrinking violets… unfortunately we had a couple of them last season and you could be forgiven in saying that was nemane and Whitfield actually that badly injured? I even remember Devon live doing an article on ‘quick healer’ Ben Whitfield…..

I’m annoyed that players such as Whitfield and Nemane spent much of the season last season ‘injured’ especially when we gave them a platform to express themselves in the first place and at the first opportunity look to leave! Having said that we have the best players from last season tied up in Wright, Conor and Hall and Wints, we have a very good spine and have signed some exciting quality so I think we will at the very least be in and around the playoffs….
