Remember him well and saw the vast majority of home games he played for us. He was a very decent all round player, an accomplished defender and midfielder and a very capable striker when called upon. As said in the article he was very popular with fans because he gave everything in any position he was asked to fill.

Sad news about one of the first players I remember watching at Plainmoor.
Could play anywhere! Including probably in goal!
RIP Clint, one of my first TUFC heroes and legend.

I'm pretty sure he did take over in goal once or twice SNW. Clint was a tremendous player , in my all time best TU eleven. Of interest to you I remember watching him head home a cross from Andy Provan in a 1-0 win at Barnsley. With Dave Stocks a fearsome centre back duo with tackling that would have them both red carded in minutes these days. So sad at this news , Clint really was one of my heroes

So sad to hear the passing of a great committed whole hearted player whom I watched many times playing for United. I was also fortunate enough to play for Galmpton United in the SDL when he joined us and passed on all his knowledge and know how and was just ‘one of the lads’ a great honor.

I once played in a pre-season friendly for Ipplepen Athletic against Foxhole. Clint Boulton played for the home team and finished the match wearing espadrilles on the rock hard Bellfield pitch. Still looked pretty good!
