Gary says we have five signings all to be announced by Tuesday.
2 x Center Halves
1 x Attacking Mid - hinted we would not guess his name.
2 x Strikers - Danny Wright & Andy Nelson confirmed.
Exciting times and great work by the managerial team. Looking forward to the season, let's push for promotion.

Agree, as Gary also pointed out to have a squad together for the first day of training (1st August) is great work by the club. To be able to start to get fitness, structure, game plans etc from the off can surely mean we will be able to hit the ground running when the season starts (5th or 12th September). I just hope, us fans, will be able to be there as well!!

In my view our team's achilles heel was the spine of the defence, not through lack of ability, think some were overly harsh on the likes of Cameron and Cundy both have potential, but when you have an in-experienced goalkeeper with two in-experienced centre backs, your going to get opened up at a higher level.

Disappointed GJ seems to be sticking with both keepers from last season, think there was massive room for improvement there, but encouraged by talk of two incoming centre backs, also know little about Andy Nelson but this video which I saw on facebook shows GJ may just have made a good little signing, seems a calm, tidy finisher.

Two good strikers and two good defenders. Happy with that. Add CLE to the middle and we look a decent side. It was mainly the injuries last season that scuppered us.

I have two long standing Poolies as friends. One still watching every away game to most of the time. They said he was superb when at Gateshead for over a season, they were always around the playoffs. He joined them for a small fee in the Feb and was excellent when playing until end of the season. They were looking forward to seeing him play the season we have just had but he has been poor more times then not and no great loss. If he can perform like he did at Gateshead then he will be ok.

So it would seem that CLE is the next one to sign a contract. Well, in my opinion, what a squad we now seemed to have put together, AND, all our players. I dare say there will be one or two loans to come in but I, for one, am hoping for a very good season (Covid-19 permitting)
