...first 20 mins all over them. Soft goal that McDonald could and should have done better...then gash for last 20 mins of first half .....got to to better
I have a feeling that GJ gave MacDonald the benefit of the doubt for tonight but I think Covolan ought to start the next game

So it's the ex-Torquay loanee Shamir Fenelon (formerly Goodwin) who sinks the Gulls.

Where did it go wrong tonight? Sounded like a lot of attaching football from Torquay but a lack of killer instinct or clear chances?

What still stands out to me is that something isn’t quite right at the back and the middle don’t seem settled yet.

Onwards. We need a solid win to boost confidence

As I said after the Solihull match we will not be contenders this season and must be happy to stay up.
This is what I thought before a ball was kicked and the first 4 games have only confirmed this.

Sounds like we have plenty of opportunities to get in front before conceding. Not too worried about the second goal because basically the entire team was down the other end trying to force the equalizer.

Concerning that we're not scoring when on top. Also, it must be concerning the manager that again the goal tonight seemed to come from a goalkeeper's error.

It’s only a matter of time until it clicks, and then some team are going to get battered by us.

Well what a frustrating watch that was, first 30 minutes we've dominated the game, Reid forced a class save from their keeper, and the team are creating good chances, but then we gift them a cheap goal, and it was always going to be uphill from there against a strong, and streetwise team.

I'm not joining the bash MacDonald gang , think some of the criticism levelled against him has been harsh, but we can not get away from the fact he's had a poor start to the season, no he shouldn't have had a shot to save, but he is the last of defence a did have a shot to save, he should have hung to it all day long, spilt it and gave them a doily. Half way through he second half, when presented with a comfortable shot to save, clawed the ball with orangutan arms, and presented their striker with a chance he should have buried.

Will question the manager decision to go 4.4.2 , the team was till dominating the game in my view there was no need to change the formation, just some fresh legs to give something else think about, not sure for the life me why Keating was brought on and put on the left hand side, didn't get, still don't. Made us un balanced, our performance went backwards big style after changing the formation.

All very well the manager being loyal to players that haven't let him, it is only a small few that are underperforming right now, time is coming quickly to put loyalties aside and shuffle the pack.
