OK thanks for that - an interesting player!
Don't want another Liam Davis where he is unable to play for weeks due to injury? At 5'9" assume he is not a central defender!

Thought this was a porn thread. :}
Seriously though, seen this guy a few times and he's a decent player. I did say that about Klukowski mind but Klukowski is just mentally weak. In a thriving team he'll do well. Barnum Bobb has experienced a battle and has the credentials to strengthen Torquay IMO. Solid, committed player.

I remember Jazzi from his time at Watford Academy when my son was there.
I think you could discover he is being lined up to put pressure on Higgins to perform more efficiently in his current first team slot.
Why should his name be a wind up?

How many "Jazzi Barnum bobbs" do you know. No offence to him, just sounded a strange thread until I saw that was his name.merse btpir wrote: ↑23 Oct 2017, 18:15 I remember Jazzi from his time at Watford Academy when my son was there.

Barnum Bobb is quirky but not pretentious in any way but to precede it with Jazzi is both. Anyway, who gives a shit i what he's called if he can help the defence stop shipping goals.
Something doesn’t ring true here for me. Regular (ish) last season in L2 for Newport, offered a new deal at the end of the season - yet potentially being farmed out on loan to Margate, 2 divisions below us. But if he’s not fit enough for them, he’s good enough for us?
Not saying that the link with the player isn’t legit, especially if he’s not getting any game time at Newport, but not sure the Margate/medical side of the story makes sense

It ain't the lads fault what his Mum and Dad decided to call him, nor does it matter!
Christ, he could be called Tarquin Fintim-Limbim-Whimbim-Lim Bus Stop-F’Tang-F’Tang-Olé-Biscuit-Barrel, but if he was better than most of the shite we already have I'd sing his name.

Good, Higgins has failed to live up to his pre-season hype and is not good enough defensively. Slowly but surely I’m hoping Owers can replace our weak links - McGinty next?merse btpir wrote: ↑23 Oct 2017, 18:15 I remember Jazzi from his time at Watford Academy when my son was there.

His big sister is called Calypso for what it's worth!
I know a player who was at Margate last season and from his tales; the management there is not up to much by way of professionalism and the ulterior motive behind the ownership might be questionable. Having said that, let's see what transpires from what is 'talk' right now, but personally I would identify right wingback as being a position that could be improved on with a new signing and by reputation one who has a great attitude, great mentality and loads of ability. At 21 he will be known to Marin Kuhl for certain and more than likely to Gary Owers as well.
We have to remember that there are too many loan players within the squad and someone like Jordan Lee for instance could well be sacrificed to make way for such a signing. 'JBB' would represent a signing who could be assessed as 'of sell-on value' and that would probably fit the new profile of the club under this management working to the ethos that the ownership have laid down.....it would make sense to replace a loanee with an investment type of signing.
He's an attack-minded full-back who looked certain to make the grade at Watford and it was a shock to Academy coaches when he was released after two years as a scholar. Jazzi loves to attack, is composed in possession and is working to improve the defensive part of his game.

I get confused with the whole “transfer-window” rules and who it applies too.
I know that it doesn’t apply to NL clubs or below, witness Chester signing someone from Stourbridge on a 2 year deal today. But does it work the other way - can we permanently sign players from the football league?
Just wondered, as JBB is under contract with Newport can we sign him permanently now? Or would it have to be a(nother) loan until Jan?
