I refuse to abandon the unrealistic optimism that preseason allows me so:
Torquay (1)2 Tranmere (0)1
Keating & Young to score
Crowd of 2000

I'll go for a 2-1 win and keep the optimism going.
Wivel agrees with Brucie again and they go off hand in hand into the sunset.

Spirits are dampened as reality sets in once again and another winter of struggle beckons .

Solid start to the season as new signings bed in well, resulting in a creditable draw.

I'm not even going to attempt to predict this one. Tranmere are obviously one of teh tips for promotion (as they were last season, but failed ....). It's a tough opening match but as others have posted, it might just be to our advantage to play them as our first game. P.S. I don't think we will be hammered 3 - 0 or 5 - 0 as some, e.g. Brucie, have posted.

I'm going for 1 - 1 with JP to score the first goal of the game. Probably to our advantage to get them first up at home.

Crowd 2346 - boosted by our new Academy boys (sorry Torquay in the Community boys!!)

Nobody took the bait

And thank God Brucie is back to his normal miserable self again, after his optimistic posting over the summer.

I'm just starting to get prepared for the game on Saturday. Listening online from Phuket. The last few seasons there has been a "Useful Links" button straight to the BBC commo. I can't seem to find it here anymore. Am I being more blind than usual?

I don't think the commo via the BBC works when you are outside the UK.
