I wonder if we will use this as a scouting exercise to see if any of Bristol City's youngsters could do a job here on loan....

Against a Youth/Development team I can't see this as being an indicator of anything unless we get soundly beaten! Just a game to start getting match fitness.

Interesting line up

Only Mcginty and Gowling defender wise in the whole squad!

Did see Higgins warming up

Could be 3-5-2 but who knows who the last CB is

Could be Chaney as he was warming up with them.....

According to DevonLive, Higgins is playing instead of Reid.

If it is Austen Booth then good luck to the lad, a player that I don't know personally, however have known about since he was an U8, as an opposition player to my team as we went through the age groups to U18's. Seen him play for Watcombe Wanderers a few times also.

Whilst a very talented young local player, personally would not see him as a player anywhere near national league standard.

So we put out a much more representative side of whom we will pick our first team and we beat a decent sprinkling of up and coming players from a championship side. I think there is room for optimism and pray we keep clear of injuries and can push off for an interesting start to the season. harking back to Nichos previously heard comments from videos on youtube where he talks about the atmosphere of the promotion winning team. I think he will be trying hard to engender that atmosphere again and if they play to their potential then I have no doubt they will be gaining points from the off. although Tranmere will be tough. I think we can hopefully get at least a draw from a team we fully expect to be up at the top. Gowling. Higgins and Keating. Young and Gray a well as Pittman will be important for us.
Am interesting experiment putting chaney at RB. could he be converted. its happened before and the commos said he was doing ok.. what do yuo all think if you went to the game ? Brucie you didnt. so we will ignore any negatives you come up with NER ! :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf: :scarf:
