Played really well except for a mad ten mins when they nearly threw it away. Great fighting spirit and did not let their heads drop after FGR 3rd goal.

COYY!!

Most entertaining game I've seen for years. Unbelievable. The team played with real heart, very gutsy. We always do things the hard way, but there you go. The crowd were behind the team all game, great stuff.

Well what a second half that was. First half thought TUFC had more desire, more hunger with out the quality to finish off some good attacking moves, FGR came out after the break looking like they'd had a rocket placed up their rear ends at half time and maybe it was that which brought the game to life.

Three well worked goals, game over FGR fans filling out, TUFC fans wishing well on their way home with a nice "cheerio" :) and politely asking Bennet what the score was, three FGR goals in four minutes left the home fans looking some what red faced, as blind panic set in, and FGR started to look as if they'd score from every attack.

Then enter K.Moore, he's got the ball only the keeper to beat, square it and it's certain goal and FGR have pulled of a complete turn around, nope he choose not to and what a let off, sure he's still a yellow.

Thankfully the Gulls settled, and it was us who stole the points in the end, been a long, long time since I enjoyed a match as much as this one, and well done to the fans over 2300 home fans, and plenty of passion, that's how you show the owners how much you care about your club.

One game so not getting carried away, and we always seem to beat FGR on boxing anyway, though a point would be bonus, all three will do very nicely.

What a fine game - a real advert for National League football! The first half was certainly good - FGR's passing football and United's more direct style - but the second was sensational. Probably the best 45 minutes entertainment I have witnessed since we beat Aldershot 4-3 coming back from 0-3 down.

Blissett's contribution was immense but I actually thought Dan Sparkes was our MOTM - some real quality wing play was only matched by Frear when he came on later and nearly swung the game in FGR's favour.

All the team had good games and I would pick out Verma as the pick of the midfield and Gerring in defence as also worthy of note - and Moore made some crucial saves too.

FGR are a quality footballing side and against a less committed opposition would have run out winners - it was credit to the United spirit that they came back to win the game having being pegged back to 3-3.

Just a word for the referee - I thought he was excellent and contributed to a really fluid game.

The crowd was great too and the atmosphere later in the game was cracking.

10/10 for entertainment! I hope those who were talking about boycotts were suitably sorry to miss this one!
Phil

That was a great afternoon. The 2300 Gulls showed the new owners the passion that the club engenders; fantastic support and what a noise at the end. Lets hope the majority join the Trust to be the independent fans' organisation and hold the Board to account on it's plans to consult and create a 5 year plan.

Our attendance in the corresponding fixture last year was 2,051 so today's turnout was very much a positive in view of the recent goings on.

Forest Green seemed to have brought their whole fan base as well - did Mr Eco-warrior bus them all down the M5? They were a bit premature when they started chanting "3 - 0 and you f...... it up"!
