Post by Gulliball »

246 Gulls there today, a really good following.

If you were one of them then did anyone deserve to make this thread?

Up to five players please.

1. The Torquay fan who at halftime shouted Oh Gerring tell Mcginty to **** off.
2. the lad in the tea booth who couldnt add up and managed three times to give me the wrong change.
3. The idiot who had a keyed a Mercedes in the car park, hope it was a Torquay players car
4. The moron who is me who decided to drive there and back to watch that rubbish.
5. Nicholson for having the honesty to call the team out after today when he should have done it three matches ago

Not a single player deserves pass mark and in fact, we should award minus points for this week.

The cockney woman at full time who swung for me for voicing my opinion on a game that was, putting it nicely, utter shite. Big shout out to her.

One player who deserves a bit of praise is Young. In my opinion, he was the only player who tried to play and showed a bit of fight.

1. Every TUFC fan that made the effort to travel to Boreham Wood, no matter how far.
2. Every TUFC fan that made the effort to travel to Boreham Wood after witnessing the Woking defeat on Tuesday.
3. Luke Young - probably the only one who looked interested or approached the game with any sort of professionalism yesterday.
4. Aman Verma - the best of a bad bunch, in my opinion.
5. Food & drink kiosk staff - 7/10 for the cup of tea.

Luke & Sam half a star each out of 5.
The other 12 who set foot on the pitch don't deserve half a star between the lot of 'em.

For there to be a MOTM you first need to have a game one can call a match!

I had forgotten Tony Scott - now he was a good 'un! (see Mr. Mellow's favourite player).

I promised myself that after Tuesday's woeful performance (sic) at Woking that I would not go to Borehamwood ..... my heart over-ruled my head (and not for the first time where United are concerned).... how there is a 'MoTM' thread is beyond me ...NONE of that 'team' deserve any recognition for playing like they did.... if things don't improve (and soon) then we are in very real danger ....

The thinking behind these threads and the fan-voted POTY is that all 46 games count equally towards deciding the Player of the Year, which means as bad as Saturday was it was still worth a potential three points and 1/46th of our possible points total, so it has the same weighting as any other game this season. Yes, it's much easier and much more enjoyable after a good performance, but it is meant to give a Player of the Season not a Player of the good bits of the season.
