Thai consortium take over

Post by lucy6lucy »

I haven't got twitter, but a friend said there's a rumour going round on it that a Thai consortium are showing interest. Is there any truth in this or is it a wind up. Don't want to unsettle the board etc. just want know if any of you know anything

If it's true, the club should immediately point them in the direction of Plymouth Argyle:

And then perhaps we should borrow £800k from Torbay Council.. :~D

Can't see anything of the sort on Twitter. Looks like a girl called Niki had a nice Pad Thai Duck meal in Torquay on 1st March though!!

The conversation involves that God awful Whipps bloke, which tells you immediately that it's **** nonsense.

Thanks Matt. I never posted this thread to cause a storm within the board/members just wanted some clarity in the validity of the suggestion it was going to happen.

I'm absolutely certain that you didn't. It's a perfectly fair thread. In your position, I'd have asked exactly the same thing.

I wonder who it will be that takes over when eventually it happens? Foreigner? Another lottery winner? Consortium or individual? Curious to think that it could be any one of us who comes into a good idea or a slice of luck. Weird.

If you've met Alex Rowe's good lady wife (I have, briefly, and she's a delight), this joke takes on a whole new meaning.
