You are correct Richinns, most season long loans will only be looked at after the transfer deadline. Parent clubs need to see how far down the queue their younger players are before they decide to loan them out. If a player is 3rd in line and ready for a loan in July, a last minute sale in the same position during August can see them bumped up to 2nd, potentially on the bench every week.
Luke.

His full name is Duane Ofori-Acheampong...!! Nice one for the radio commentators..

Perhaps best just to call him Duane. If he's anything like the last Duane I remember playing for the Gulls, then we should be more than happy with him at Plainmoor. :-D

Played 20 mins last night and he is an absolute BEAST. Must be over 6ft 5, built like a brick sh*thouse. Could be very useful in the conference, good signing.

He scored the winner away at Carlisle (1-0) to keep us in the football league, I think in the 1992/93 season

Remember Duane Darby missing a sitter when we were trying not to get knocked out of a televised cup game against non-leaguers possibly Hillingdon

Yes, he signed a few days ago, certainly before the Exeter game.

The thread mentions that he is on the brink of signing. Just wondered if he was waiting until the 11th hour fo a better offer.

Cheers!
