I know the standard of Scottish Football is slipping but it's still a big jump from Conference to Scottish Prmier. Good luck to the lad.

Simon Heslop played the full 90 minutes in Wrexham's home match against Woking. Woking won 3 - 1 (Joe Quigley scored ...... again !).

I said when he was here that Quigley was a quality player. I couldn't fathom it when people were saying he was useless. That boy was so much too good for our lot that he couldn't reign himself in enough to take part and it was startlingly obvious.

Kads Daniel gone to Welling. What a nutter.

Matt.

James Hurst got on the scoresheet for Guiseley in last Saturday's F.A. Trophy game and Mark Ellis scored the winning penalty for Carlisle in the Cup replay penalty shoot out that knocked out Yeovil. As for Briscoe - I thought he was supposed to be injured. Another miracle recovery ........

Olejnik put in an average display against a superior Liverpool. I don't know what he was doing for their first goal, but he showed flashes of what he's capable of with some incredible shot blocks. I'd have Bobby back in a heart beat but he's far too good for us, and Exeter too for that matter.

Shaquille Coulthirst scored for Peterborough away to West Brom in the F.A. Cup. Kadell Daniel scored Welling's equaliser at Halifax which puts them 5 points ahead of us with a much better goal difference and a game in hand (but it also keeps Halifax 'only' 10 points ahead of us). Jak McCourt has moved from Leicester to Barnsley (on another thread, I foolishly suggested it would be good to have him back on loan. He's obviously progressed whilst we haven't).

Have you noticed that three of our ex-players scored in yesterday's F.A. Trophy matches to earn their clubs a few £s ? Ryan Bowman scored Gateshead's goal in their 1 - 0 victory over AFC Fylde, Joe Quigley scored Woking's goal in their 1 - 0 win over Oxford City and Duane O'Achie scored an 89th equaliser for Dover to earn them a replay against Guiseley.

I was curious to find out what had happened to Courtney Cameron as he didn't seem to be featuring in the Southport side. He is now playing for Brackley Town in the National North league and came on as sub (probably his first game) last Saturday in front of 356 fans in their home 2 - 3 defeat against Nuneaton. Incidentally, I noticed that Lathanial Rowe-Turner is playing for Nuneaton these days.
