Need to raise £200k in two weeks or face administration. Another club in a mess thanks to bad owners. What impact on the bottom of the table would a points deduction have i wonder?

Loose change to him i'd imagine. Celebrity fans sometimes don't get involved though. I'm sure Robbie Williams didn't do enough for Vale as the fans wanted. Not that he's in any way obliged to of course but would be helpful.

On the flip side. Why doesn't Helen chamberlain do the same for Torquay. Don't blame her in the current scenario.

I don't blame her either. She'd only end up getting abuse for trying to help.

Not sure why people think certain celebrities are rolling in the type of cash required to one, save a football club, then, two, actually fund the day to day running of a football club. Bit like buying a house for £500k because you have that type of money, but can you afford the council tax, water, heating and general repairs.

Only have to look at Lord Sugar, and his time with Spurs, and there's man with the money. Aside from that hope Hartlepool come through this.

Crowdfunding has raised £13,000. I think they could do with Stelling and his cash now tbh. At this rate they'll have the money by 2020 by which time Victoria Park will be a lovely block of flats.

Anyone else a bit bemused about the coverage Hartlepool is getting in comparison to us?

Well we ain't got a high profile celebrity fan willing to put their hand in their pocket to bail out a basket case of a club, so it ain't a news worthy item I'm afraid to say.
Anyhow apart from us fools who really gives a rats arse about an out on a limb tin pot football club miles away from anywhere ?

They do have the 'Stelling' factor and besides, Torquay have an owner. One which many Torquay fans still think is doing / and will do a good job so in terms of news it's a non story. The club looks pretty stable from the outside looking in.
