Ashford Dawkins was in the squad last night at Cullompton and seems a VERY interesting prospect...

He is a 22 year old Striker/Winger, playing from Muro CF in Tercera División in Spain (The equivalent of League 2 Division in England) and Jamaica Under 20 national team player.

He is described as very strong, powerful and fast AND was close to joining Chelsea in 2012 for over £130k as a 16 year old! He has since been linked with a move to Valencia and has been involved with the Spanish Under-19 set up. It seems he may have also been training with us earlier this year and featured in the Paul Compton reunion game as he is the son of former Torquay favourite Derek Dawkins..

It seems Owers is seeking to bolster the front line...I wonder how long Fallow will last in the squad!!

If Fallon lies 'Fallow' that would be good!

Last seeing SCORING for Basford Utd!

I had never heard of the Evostick League but it turns out that Wigan Athletic, Scarborough, Macclesfield Town, Boston United, Accrington Stanley and Fleetwood Town all started out within the former Northern Premier League.

Playing for Basford may be a fall from grace but he clearly had potential in the past - still worth a look I would have thought? Surely an improvement on Fallon and some pace is much needed within the squad

With Liam Hearn as his strike partner. How has he (Hearn) found himself that low?!

Hearn does seem to have toured every Midlands non-league club I could name, and some I couldn't!
