Post by Rossi Martin »

Does anyone know where Liam Davis is? I haven't seen him since July. If anyone has information on his whereabouts could you please let me know. We need our LB back

I'm down the lizard peninsula for a week. Whilst walking my dog along the beech and coastline I shall keep my eyes open for him.

Perhaps putting a few of these round town might help...?

He's hiding in the same cupboard as Jordan (nothing wrong with him) Lee; how much longer are this pair going to swing the lead?

Off topic: I still chuckle when I remember nicho saying new manager will think he has won the lottery with this squad.
I think the word lottery sums up the assembly of the squad very well.

There's been nothing but 'downs' so when were the last 'ups'?

The last real 'ups' were way back in the mid to late 1960's when the Gulls very nearly got promotion to League Division 2 (now the Championship) - 1967-68 season I think. I stand to be corrected though! I would argue that the club has been in a long slow decline ever since.

Best ups for me in my time

Sherpa van trophy final 1989 we took over 20000 there and Wembley then was a luxury and correct if I'm wrong we were first professional Devon team to play there

Season 87 / 88 was special and still wonder how we blew it. I was at last league v Scunthorpe and the atmosphere was terrific. I see this as a up as the season we were brilliant with brilliant players
Watching loram , Sharpe, Caldwell and Dobson was an real treat

I agree absolutely and completely with Mr, budegull. I was there ion the golden time and both he and I know that after relegation to Div. 4 in 1972 all has been dark.

I believe that Liam was last seen collecting all the hats that were thrown into the ring over the past month

Well that's quite a lengthy job - as according to Dr Harrop there were hundreds of them.
