Not that it's particularly important but what is Gary Owers' actual title? On the OS his initial appointment referred to him as 'Head Coach' but his interview calls him 'Manager'.

Don't think the generally negative response would be the same had it not taken TWENTY EIGHT days to come to this appointment, given the wait you'd like to think someone slightly more high profile may have been appointed. As it were it probably took a month of phonecalls and people laughing at the thought of reporting to a man as incompetent as Geoff Harrop to finally get someone desperate enough to accept this position.

Also enjoyed the press conference of that GI rimlicker Thomas getting a deserved flat bat response to some inane and poorly researched questions as is standard with this bloke. The podcast is dreadful, uninformative clichéd cobblers that never dares question the total shambolic way this club has been run and are more interested in asking such testing questions as who's the best captain or remember something that happened 25 years ago? as if it's relevant now when we have Jamie Reid playing for us.

Wish Owers and Kuhl all the best because ultimately it's the club's future that is in their hands because those above have already proven their incompetence and lack of care for this club, it's down to them and this group of bang average players to try and dig TUFC out of another self made hole of desperation, one which will never be challenged or questioned properly by the local media who are more interested in their free pass and invite to the end of season do than the welfare or interest of it's supporters who have suffered more than any set of fans of any professional club in the country over the last 10 years.

He's Head Coach and MK is Assistant Head Coach with Harrop free to adopt the title DoF.

No surprises there.

28 days?? So what? If they had taken 7 days people would accuse them of rushing it, or having already arranged it prior to the sacking. IMO 28 days is easily acceptable to make necessary decisions over the clubs future

It takes a month to find a replacement manager, someone should tell the rest of the footballing world.

this club has no future.

I can't understand how people are still being negative. I get that it took far too long, and there was plenty of occasions over the last few weeks where I thought that this might be the moment that GI and Harrop make the move that dooms the club, by appointing Robbie or anyone else costing truck all, showing that relegation is not something that bothers them.

They haven't done this. Owers may seem a little underwhelming at first, but is qualified to the teeth at this level, in a way that neither Nicho or Herrera were. To add to this, we've signed Kuhl as number 2, who has even better coaching qualifications, and a huge web of contacts at Category 1 academy level and below. This is ideal in our position, and fits the talk of our building the club by developing the young players who are released from the higher level academies, to make the club sustainable. I also don't really have a problem with Harrop being part of this comittee. He may get a lot of stick but he knows more than most about the workings of a football club, especially at a youth/academy level, and during his career has probably built up a significant list of contacts himself. He's certainly not signed two yes men underneath him, and for the first time in a long time we now have a core of people in the club who actually know what they're talking about.

I'm suspicious as hell of GI, as they have money at heart, not Torquay. Having said that they've spent a hell of a lot of money that they didn't have to, from re-laying the pitch which won our Groundsman the 2016-17 National League Groundsman of the Year Award, to refreshing the clubs branding, and now sacking a failing but cheap management team, and replacing them with a hopefully fit for purpose but expensive duo, paying off Nicho and Bath City in the process. Maybe we missed out on a preferred candidate, maybe Harrop cocked up leading to delays, it doesn't matter. Keep half an eye on Osborne and GI, but get behind the team again, the new guys deserve it, and they've already made moves for 1 or 2 new players.

Were other clubs signing managers that were already under contract though? Or like Coxy, free agents?
Were Bath happy to let him go straight away or did they insist on working a notice period?

So you think the club should have started interviewing for the managers job before terminating Nico?
