I think Herrera is going to be a hero today and we will win 2-1 and whilst the score line may not reflect it, it will be a comfortable victory.

This is Torquay after all, it wouldn't be a win if we still didn't let a really stupid goal in!

For the consequences of their poor dietary choices or the match ahead?

Sometimes there is the 'dead-cat-bounce' that sacking a manager can offer, and a team can grab a win under the caretaker manager and then those above are persuaded that the caretaker is the best option. However, it rarely works out that way - unless you are Scunthorpe United - and the caretaker is invariably sacked but if you look at how many coaches promoted to manager after a sacking work out, it is hardly any.

Therefore, if we win today, I hope the likes of Harrop aren't persuaded that Herrera is the best option. We need somebody with a fresh perspective.

I was actually thinking the same thing myself. Worryingly if we did win today (and it could happen) we could be faced with Herrera being in charge against Solihull which even for us should be a winnable game.

I doubt though that Harrop/Osborne are that daft.

We have failed to beat Guiseley since our return to this league (which is in itself a damning indictment) just like we have failed to beat a whole host of part timers.

They should be buoyed by their draw against Tranmere, however they are basically a team that doesn't win either so any result in this game is possible.

I'm glad win or lose we all agree that Herrera does not get the job as this is the cheapest option. (£)

Time for the players to stand up and be counted. Tuesday night they were terrible defensively, Boreham had pacey players and the back 4 were too tight and turned slower than a freight tanker. I don't know of Guiesley's strike options this year but if they are pacey and we defend the same way again it will be another loss.

Still though, another part time team, another defeat.
