February Player of the Month

Post by Gulliball »

As voted for by you, the match going fans.

1. Craig Stanley - 27
2. Guy Branston - 26
3. Jake Robinson - 21
4. Chris Zebroski - 20

5. Joe Oastler - 17
6. Billy Kee - 14
7. Lee Mansell - 13

8. Lathaniel Rowe-Turner - 9
=9. Danny Potter - 8
=9. Chris Robertson - 8

11. Eunan O'Kane - 4
=12. Kevin Nicholson - 3
=12. Danny Stevens - 3
=14. Ryan Gilligan - 1
=14. Mark Ellis - 1
=14. Ashley Yeoman - 1

It was an extremely close contest between Stanley and Branston, but Craig just managed to edge it. Both players had an excellent month, as did Robinson and Oastler who scored consistently. Then there were a few distinct groupings of players. Kee started the month well but tailed off, and Mansell scored regularly but without big scores each time. LRT, Potter and Robertson scored points in a few games, and the final bunch just pulled in one scoring performance each.

For the seven games we played this month, unsurprisingly the top five all won individual man of the match awards; Stanley x 2, Branston x 2, Robinson, Oastler, Zebroski.

I've also had a look back at the figures and worked out the other months too, in case anyone is interested:

August - Elliot Benyon
September - Guy Branston
October - Chris Zebroski
November - Guy Branston
December - Guy Branston
January - Eunan O'Kane
February - Craig Stanley
March -
April -
May -

Just a note that December comprised of just one game - a 1-0 defeat to Chesterfield, which makes Branston look even better, but he's still been our standout player so far this season.

Brilliant analysis mate, I'm not surprised to see Stanley pip Branston, he's been excellent whenever I've seen him play, and it wouldn't surprise me to see Jakey right up there too if he wasn't getting hauled off after an hour in every game.

He did play one game last month - we lost. Since Potter has been in (six games) we have only lost one of them, gaining points in all the others.
Decent enough form for me
