Very sad to see Sparkes leave. He's the best winger we've had for a while and will be tough to replace. He's a great example of the type of players we need to target. We gave him a chance to step up to full time football and he's now got another move, closer to home and presumably with better money. Players successfully using us as a stepping stone can only help to repeat the process in the future.

Sparkes is a bit of quality which will be hard to replace.
Verma was one of the better players best of luck to him.

They'll be in for one hell of a shock, as at no point did I think he looked L1 material.

Too many mistakes for me - jack of all trades but master of none springs to mind. McGinty far stronger at CB

It does sound like a surprising move, given that he never established himself as first choice here. Having started at centre back he was forced out to right back when we had no-one else and then ended the season filling in where needed. Had Jordan Lee made a better first impression in January, or Hodgkiss stayed till April, or Racine not been injured on his debut, then I don't think he would have been first choice in any position for the second half of the season. He was a useful squad player to cover those positions to a good level, but you'd think his next challenge would be to establish himself as a regular in his chosen position. I wouldn't be against him staying here and attempting to do that, but moving up two divisions would be a bit of a shock. That said, he may just have a vocal agent trying to get his name out there in pursuit of some interest.

Add Brett Williams to that list, he has posted a picture of a note he has written thanking us and saying the club were not prepared to give the same type of contract to him this time around and wishes us good luck for next season..

A proven goal scorer .. gone.

Don't you mean another mistake by GI - they hold the purse strings!

Given KN's relationship with Brett Williams, I think it's highly likely that he tried to reduce William's contract in order to free up funds elsewhere because he simply doesn't value Williams in the way we do. Rather than KN wanting to keep him and GI refusing to fund it. A very bad decision by Nicho but if we're being honest we all knew it was going to happen because Nicho has never liked him or used him properly until the last 10 games of the season.

He'll rock up to a mid to top half team and score 15-20 next season guaranteed.
