Barry Corr released by Cambridge United. Scored 50 goals for Southend in 155 games. 6' 3'' tall and 274 games in his career scoring 77 goals.
Played 34 games for Exeter City before his move to Southend.
Worth signing? He is 32.
No.
Chronic knee injury I think. Released by Cambridge as they couldn't get him fit. Would be a great signing if we could get him fit, but it would be worse than 50/50 whether he'd see any meaningful action for us.
Quick word on Corr as I know a little more than most. True, he did his knee a year ago but returned after that and his groin was his latest injury, he never had a great deal of pace so I wouldn't be surprised to see a football league club take a punt on him, particularly as rumour has it Derry and him never got on at Cambridge, additionally it is highly unlikely we have afforded him as his goal bonus at Cambridge was tidy to say the least!
There are several results when you log him in to the search bar. Dylan has earned excellent reviews from those at Longford. I would welcome him to Barrow as Paul Cox's 8th Summer signing.

Ray
Ray, the way you crack on regardless is hilarious, is that your intention?
No idea how accurate it is, but there are some mouthwatering (well, from an NL perspective anyway) players on there who are still listed as unattached.
It still includes players who might well be injured or semi-crippled, but I reckon over my lunch-hour I could pick a team who could give our current lot a good going over.
Just for starters, ex Argyle players Deane Smalley, Neal Trotman and Jordan Slew are all there.
Now before I get shot down, I know this isn't football manager and it's not that simple to sign players. But it just goes to show, there is still quality out there even st this stage

One would hope/expect our scout/recruitment guy Mr Hedges to be doing this sort of stuff.

Jeff all 3 still looking for a club according to wikipedia.
Yeah had clocked that. Made me wonder whether there is anything more in the background like long term injuries, as all are the sort of player you'd expect to see hoovered up at this level.
For what it's worth, my "available" select XI is as follows:
Will Puddy
Neal Trotman
Ben Nugent
Matt Briggs
Liam Graham
Anton Rodgers
Nathan Doyle
Dominic Vose
Jennison Myrie-Williams
Yoann Arquin
Deane Smalley
Upfront there is an embarrassment of riches available - Arquin, Smalley, Slew, Louis Rooney, Patrick Hoban, will Hoskins, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, even Calvin Zola - remember him. We went for Fallon, however.....
Matt Rhead is rumoured to be signing for Torquay on an initial loan deal until 31 Dec, at which point Rhead can then trigger a release clause in his Lincoln City contract.
Cant believe torquay are in this posisition we should have kept our youngsters like kirtys mackenzie, niall thompson, and nathan craig, we should try get them back
