Great to see the national press taking an interest in the fate of non-league clubs.

You see there is more than one way to skin a cat and people are working away to win the war we are embroiled in

Very good article which puts it all in a nutshell. It was actually published in today's Observer where I read it first.

Well done Merse for getting someone in the media to listen!

Of course The Observer' is the Guardian on a Sunday ~ the editorial and journalistic staff are one and the same.

You would be surprised who (in the National Media) logs into BTPIR on a regular basis

Hopefully!! they have been useless as the face of the local press who should be questioning the integrity of GI but instead decide to turn the other way.

Ah, but the local rag is much more interested in selling tickets for its interminable round of 'awards' ceremony dinners where those who are prepared to pay through the nose for them take it in turns to be slapped on the back for 'winning'.

I'm told they make a packet from them.

News? What news, eh?

Pity that this wasn't released the week after the GI takeover....

Finally the truth (which we all know) has been published! Shame the Herald Express has steadfastly refused to do so! The TUST needs to capitalise on this and continue the movement against GI and make Osborne feel the heat. Credit should go to Merse as well, who if you read behind the obvious lines has obviously been involved with the TUST in getting the Guardian to write this article.

This article has been comprehensively sent to all councillors and officers as well as the Mayor.

I repeat; people are working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that the truth reaches those who are in a decision making position even when it means being publicly insulted and called a peddler of lies to my face at Aldershot last week in front of other people by someone with an axe to grind as regards the last board.

As I told them at the time; you can't intimidate me as I'm too old, fat and grumpy to give a monkeys.

I admire your honesty Merse....

And a great effort with this piece too.

Saving the club is the number one priority - above any individual.
Hats off to Merse for his tenacity and perseverance.
