Gullscorer wrote: Scott, the comma in your sentence, while not grammatically incorrect, could in this instance be regarded by some as unnecessary, superfluous, or redundant. However, my personal view is that I should be inclined to leave it in, not just because I like commas, but because a brief break is probably welcome after taking the capital P then replacing it with an ordinary p.... :)

Parsons: An early interruption from Matt. What are you saying, Matt?

Matt: Repetition.

NP: Yes, you're quite right. 56 seconds on ufflecombes grammatical hopelessness. Off you go...

In neighbourly defence of UffculmeGull, I suspect the capital P in "Prior" was in fact an automatic capitalisation after the full stop that followed "etc", used here to denote the abbreviation of the word "etcetera". But then again maybe it was not. So let's stop taking the P.

I think that it's best to let the Directors get on with what they are doing as it will be in what they feel is in the clubs best interests. I don't think it's worth listening to a Truro supporter who is obviously trying to stir things up.

There is obviously a financial problem at our club but the Chairman will have enough worries sorting the problems out, so leave the directors alone unless you are able to help them.

A word of advice to Uffculmegull - a relatively new poster. "Never mud-wrestle with a pig. You get dirty and besides, the pig likes it" George Bernard Shaw.
