I know I am old school but I think away kits should only be used when there is a clash. There should be just one kit, the home one. End of story. I am sure more replica kits would be sold if they were applicable to away games as well.

It looks like Joma are still the supplier judging by the training kit.

You can see the history of our kits here...

Great! Expect we don't have a home kit and it will not be available until sometime in August. What a Micky Mouse outfit we are, a team at the start of the season without home colours.

Underwhelmed at first sight of the Away Kit... can't see the badge! Trying to see how the Away Kit is available ahead of the Home Kit? The club have had sufficient time to select one of the Competition entries and known the sponsor, so why the delay?

From the link to the OS:
“The sponsorship came in a little late, and because it is a bespoke shirt we had to make some changes which has set us back” said club secretary Rob Stanley.

But if the sponsorship is the late factor why does this effect the Home version delay? Wouldn't it be the same for either home or away?

Depends on the design doesn't it?

Maybe there was some feature of the home shirt which had to be changed to incorporate the sponsors logo.

Hopefully it will be a little more imaginative than a black rectangle slapped across it...

Is it not just the case that as the the Away kit is an "off the shelf" design, it's been a lot easier to do as there would already be a pattern for it?

With the home kit being bespoke, it's probably taken longer to setup the system to manufacture it, hence its delay

Cheers Jeff, I guess the 'off the shelf' explanation would makes sense to them using the away kit.
