This geezer is a Lee Mansell-u-like and a set piece specialist, so here's how I see this working out.

Not only does TWO physical geezers in the middle allow EoK to be furhter freed of a defensive role (unlike NW who forced EoK to do more defending than he ought.)
Secondly, with set pieces, this guy allows Nico to stay back and do his primary job. His being away from his post was what cost us not one, but two goals, against, ironically enought, Morecambe.

Looking forward to this, especially since he appears to be a footballer rather than a hoofer.

Matt.

The way he's being described he seems to good to be true for me.

Regular starter and one of the best players at his club.
With Wroe going fits the formanation perfectly - allows O'kane more room.
Good set piece taker.
Good on the ball and without it.

What's he doing signing for us?

Sounds like a great signing. However, does this mean tomorrow night it will be 4-5-1 again :/

Well by the sounds of it, he's outspoken and has p*ssed off Sammy Lee. I suppose we're not all perfect though are we?!

They told him he was going to United on a month long loan and he just assumed it was as a replacement for Paul Scholes.

Sounds like it could be a good deal!

He and Manse could allow EoK to get up forward, depending on what formations we play now..!

That must have blown any chance he had of a big money move to Liverpool then, I guess. ;-)

Is this guy hard enough to allow us to play 4 in midfield and 2 up top, or do we still need 5 across the middle to make up for Stevens the Small and Wroe the Weak (I know, I know)?

Yes, I noticed that too :) Not to be unkind though, hope he fits in as he looks like a good signing IF it comes off.

I'm English! I used to work round the corner from Plainmoor, in the bookies.
