Chris Cohen, new signing?

Post by ferrarilover »

Retweeted by Saul Halpin 2 hours ago is the following tweet made originally by Cheis Cohen:

"So @MGritton @ Halps17 and the rest of the Torquay United lads were very patient with me this morning. Great day training with 'em!"

This is backed up by a series of follow up tweets from the likes of Pickles and Halpin himself.

See Wiki link for further info on the man himself.

What do we think?

Rather annoyingly, it seems he was only here for the day. He did get up at 04:45 and get not one, not two but three trains specifically to come down to us for a 3 or 4 hour training session. All seems very strange to me.

LOL..Just think, if he lived near Lynn, he would have need about 5 or 6 trains plus a couple of horse and carts and probably a penny farthing as well..Taken about 3 days as well :) :)

Never heard of him but a nose around chris_casey's twitter profile and links suggest he works for ESPN or at least did a programme for them 10 days ago..

Why would he come and train with us, for one day, just totally out of the blue?

At 5foot 10 he's not the brute we're looking for to rule our midfield...

I'd give my right testicle for it to be the Notts Chris Cohen, but one click to his twitter profile reveals it's the comedian and presenter Chris Cohen. Interview with him here:

Sadly I very much doubt it's the £5 million rated Forest Midfielder .... far more likely to be the ESPN presenter doing a bit about us for the FA Cup! :scarf:

That'll teach me to be useless at the interweb. Is it pure coincidence that he shares a name with a footballist?

I'm still finding my way around this interweb tangled thingy as well. Mind you, having four pairs of non stick arms/legs does help. :)

Coincidence? No, it's obviously something much more sinister than that. Two people - with the same name? I've never heard of anything so bizarre! ;-)
