Benyon- Good and Bad news

Post by PlainmoorRoar »

First the good news: The emergency loan window has closed and Elliot Benyon remains a United player - at least until January.

The bad news is that he is suspended for the visit of Walsall on Saturday in the F.A. Cup Second Round. Elliot was booked for his celebration after scoring United's third goal in the 3-1 win at Wycombe on Tuesday night but it escaped the notice of virtually everyone in the ground and his one match suspension for his fifth yellow card was only confirmed to the club on Thursday.

So good news basically.

Not too bothered about Saturday - Kee will fire in a hat-trick.

That's the spirit!
He's going to come good one day he just needs some time.
Good news that Hemmings is available for Saturday though.

This is great news - for now! I do think he will go in the window so we need as many league points as possible by then.

As for Saturday - its Billy Kee's big chance to show he is the man to take over up frontt
Phil

Just watching the highlights back from Tuesdays game - I could watch those over and over again, especially Benyon's goal for the comedy defensive work! Plus, they had to cut out so many of our opportunities!

Anyway, back to Benyons goal. So he got booked for entering the crowd. check out the footage - I can see Kee, Zebroski, Stevens all the "wrong side" of the hoardings. Where were there bookings then?

Not saying they should be booked, its a stupid stupid rule, but if Benyon goes in the book for entering the crowd then the rule has to be applied consistently. Just another example of daft rules and Ref's not being competent enough to either a) follow them to the letter or b) use any common sense

This is ABSOLUTELY right. Not many statements knocking about these days about which one may say this, but, in this case, it's true. The referees don't do one thing or the other, they apply the law to one guilty party but not to the others. Fecks sake ref, either book everyone, or, better yet, tell the assessor to stuff his rating sheet up his arse and officiate the match properly.

Matt.

Not sure if anyone saw this but it seems Reading are keeping an eye on Benyon, Ellis, and O'Kane

Maybe due to our good performance against them in the Carling Cup

Suspension out of the way in the cup, now he's fresh to get us some important goals and points in the next month...

Kee and Benners up front in a 4-4-2 next week, or keep the set-up that worked today? Decisions for Bucks to make.
