Bucks nominated, again.

Post by ferrarilover »

Bad news, I'm afraid, PB has been nominated for the most famous poisoned chalice in England, the L2 Manager of the Month award.

He is up against Graham Westley (Stevenage), John Coleman (Shitely) and Dean Holdsworth (Shots).

Here's hoping he gets precisely zero votes and it gets shared equally between Coleman and Westley.

Does anyone know how the voting works?

Matt.

Imagine it'll go to Westley. Won 6 in a row, 9 in their last 11.

Thats that run ended then.. :~D

Weren't we the last side to beat them?

Like Nick says, I think Westley will get it.

Coleman's got to be in with a good shout too, with one defeat in March and climbing from bottom half up to 8th. Shame about their pitch though....

Mind you, playing Bury, Rotherham, Stevenage & Shrewsbury and coming away with 3 wins and a draw is pretty impressive too :)

Lets hope it has the same effect on Westley (or Coleman!) as it did on Buckle back in August

Wow, he is the least worthy of all the candidates there. Yeah, lovely record, but playing awful football and scraping past teams 1-0 is hardly an assert for division 4 football.
Much greater praise surely for Stevenage and their gung-ho attitude which has seen them win 6 straight, or Shitley who dealt with the pressure being many games behind to come from nowhere to a playoff position, despite Saturday-Tuesday-Saturday being the norm for a month or so.
We all know our current levels, including hammering some lower teams and beating some bigger teams too.

Seems to me the panel have shown the usual contempt for this division and plucked a name out of their collective arse.

We always have a bad spell after Buckle wins anything like that, so glad to get rid really.

I really hope Paul Buckle wins the April nomination. It will mean we are one game away from automatic promotion.

I really should not have written that. Why ? You know why !!

It means the curse will strike at Rotherham and we won't go up automatically. :'(
