Keating is not the answer either. He is a nuisance to defenders and hardworking but he cant finish any chances.

We had a French trialist who scored twice in a friendly, and still lost the game. He will probably see this result and think “why would I move to another country to play for that”.

Everyone at the club should be ashamed of where we are now. We are a shambles, but I feel we are about to sink a whole lot lower in the coming weeks.

Bit like the chance he scored against Aldershot and Lincoln last season...

He may NOT be the magic answer but he is a surely a better option than the trash Owers has introduced!

Let’s face it none of the strikers are the answer. Release the deadwood and send the rest on loan. Bring 2 newbies in and hope for the best, they can’t do any worse!

Keating isn't the answer either - Hes useless as well.

On paper the team looks stronger but results don't improve. Since the four points away from home we have played three (two at home) lost 3 scored 0 and conceded 5.

Seems like we will be down with half the season to go.

I wish our support would stop being so disrespectful to any the teams we lose to in this league.
It was only AFC Fylde today, it will only be Sutton United on Tuesday etc etc
We have no right to beat any team in this league as we are f***ing sh*t, we will probably lose at least once to all the other teams the way things are going this season.
Stop this we are a big team playing well below our true level cr*p.
Nationwide South and perhaps even worse is to come.
How low will our true level actually be?
Don't hold your breath it's only going to get worse not better!!

Noone is being disrespectful but Fylde are bog average at best.

We should be able to compete with that sort of team. Full stop.

Absolutely agree with all this; it's been like this since silly bollocks appointed Farcegreaves and looked forward to 'more winning football'

Not a **** clue within the walls of TQ1 as to how to approach life in this league and the problem will be taken out of their hands soon when relegation is confirmed after two successive seasons of getting away with murder and then awarding a silver feckin' salver for it.

It would beggar belief at any other club let alone a former Football League one.

You would think a team of 70+ years of football league experience could compete with the likes of Solihull, Guiseley, Maidstone. But every Saturday is the same. We are out of our depth, even at this level! It’s not a billy big balls attitude but we can’t compete with teams averaging 400 a game and players who work on a building site , it’s pathetic.

It’s not disrespectful to expect a full time team, to be able to at least compete with a part time team. In fact, it’s embarrassing we don’t. We get more time for training, more time to amend tactics and more time to right wrongs. It doesn’t happen.

But at least we will get a reaction at our next game, right?

"Torquay United determined to stop prolific Fylde striker Danny Rowe" according to a midweek article in the Herald.

Well that worked well didn't it. The last game I saw was against Halifax last month and we were far superior then, we looked dangerous when we got the ball forward and seemed quite cohesive. None of that was present today. Today we looked utterly toothless in attack and Fylde easily dealt with anything we managed to create. In the first half there were numerous occasions when players hung back, waiting for the defender to get to the ball rather than trying to attack and win it in the first place. When we did actually manage to get some nice moves going and get into a position to test the keeper our finishing was such that it was easily dealt with, their keeper had an easy afternoon. Something I noticed that had changed from the Halifax game was that our first touch here was often woeful. Again, too often potentially promising opportunities were snuffed out very early because of a wayward or careless pass, or failing to control the ball.

Despite making a big song and dance about stopping Danny Rowe, we failed completely in preventing him scoring two goals that (certainly in the case of the second) could have easily been avoided. For the second he was given far too much time and space on the edge on the box to carefully slot it last Dorel in the corner. I thought Davis was particularly noticeable for this, giving opponents too much room and just standing off waiting for them to shoot.

I've heard a lot lately about how if only we can convert all these chances we're making then we'll be alright, well today we created almost no chances. We're in deep trouble and things are getting worse, not better.
