I can get a decent priced rail ticket on this match for £50.70. From Gloucester. so as my card is almost up and needs renewing I may try this one. 06:15 direct train from Bristol to Newcastle returning 17:40 direct to Bristol via Gloucester with Cross Country. with rail card
I hope we get a decent turn out up there even if cant go.
a narrow 1-0 win or 2-1 for us

I think a point is possible. Thus:

Gateshead (0) 1
Torquay United (0) 1

Att: 878

Whitby Town are away at Barwell for their first NPL Premier division match. A little too far for me now, but I will listen to the Whitby Town Radio commentary (with regular visits to the BBC Football page for United's progress).

If we can nick a point then the start of the season has been OK with me but I do want to see KN pick the best players from the start. The team I want to see presuming Gowling is back would play a 4-3-3 ; Clarke, Higgins, Gowling, McG, Davis if fit if not Anderson: Lathrope, Young and Chaney in the centre Lee and Gosling wide and Pittman centre. That is my team, whats yours?

3-0 loss for me as well. Gateshead are hardly a big team so we should really be expecting a result here. Another defeat and its going to be a dismal start.

I feel that we will spring a few surprises this season and I think we can get something at Gateshead. As Brucie says, Gateshead are hardly a big team and they are not fancied to be one of the leaders of the pack as Tranmere and Aldeshot are, so here's hoping ...... Does anyone know what the club's transport arrangements are this season? Hopefully the players aren't being expected to travel to away games in a cramped minibus like last season.

So. Who is going to Gateshead on Saturday?
will there be enough to make a reasonable amount of noise? I', going to feel a little self-conscious if I'm the only one singing. do they allow drums?. noo good bringing mine. it's an electronic set. cant see them allowing a PA in there. come to think of it. it's a bit heavy to carry on the train lol

I wanted to go but there is no travel club going due to lack of interest and other modes of transport is extortionate and can't get me back on the same day annoyingly.

Another tricky game but with a bit of luck I think we can get a result.

With no Lee, no Davis and no Gowling it's going to be tough.
