Best of luck today against the heed. I'm rooting for a Gulls win as you are getting perilously close to the bottom 4.

Gulls to stay up and York to go down into deserved oblivion would top off the season beautifully for me.

Come on you yellows!!

Great result lads!

Worrying how quiet it is on here, used to be incredibly busy on match days and if we'd lost there would still be loads of posters on moaning...

That's what five years of dross, two inept boards and a whole load of defeats to semi-pro teams will do to people's interest.

Couldn't listen today and delighted to hear we got a win. Will be interested to hear from those there if we warranted such a victory.

We were lucky today. We only had four attempts on goal but at least all were on target and included three goals. But Gateshead hit the woodwork twice and Moore made a really good point blank save as well. On a different day we could well have folded after giving away a crazy penalty and losing the centre half on his debut to a season-ending injury. Rooney looked very accomplished in his natural position when he replaced Racine and the new RB Hodgkiss looked good too.

Williams was my MOTM striving manfully as the lone striker and taking his goal beautifully - he really is our most talented player.

The crowd was disappointing at 1500+ and the referee was at times appalling.

However, a much needed 3 points and a bit of breathing space - only another six wins to secure safety.
Phil

Another marathon beckons!

Not a classic but we did show some grit against a very physical Gateshead side.

Interesting after match summary in which Nicholson said he had "told them to forget tactics" - perhaps he should do that each week and let the players chose how to play !
