Have we gone to 4-4-2 or 4-2-4..?? 3-5-1 never worked i.m.o..
We should play 4-2-4 since we just hoof the ball over the midfield anyway.

In case anyone is wondering why no one has posted in 25 minutes, it's because absolutely nothing has happened.

Sounded like a quite even, though boring, game ruined by two errors from a player who shouldn't have been on the pitch in the first place.

I wasn't at the game today but this seems a little harsh.
Cox assembled a squad to play 3-5-2 now Ramshaw, with some key injuries is trying to fit the players in to a more defensively coherent unit with four at the back. Starting with Ex does need to be questioned but there do seem few alternatives at the moment. As it was without his two mistakes we would have had a 0-0 draw which would have been quite credible.

It was a bizarre line-up. Not just the fact that an injured Ex started, but that our only left-back was playing centre-midfield and our best centre-half this season was playing left-back. Then we had a teenage defender playing in a holding midfield role on his debut and Marsh up front on his own. Very strange.

I wasn't there either but it does appear Neil Cox has left us with a real problem. I'm afraid Exodus hasn't performed as far as I am aware. When I have seen him play he has shinned it more often than he has cleanly cleared it and he will always be slower than this league. Maybe two years ago he had commanding games for Mansfield but he is patently struggling now- his timing is not there- I realise he may be carrying an injury but he has been a liability I think. To seemingly build a system round him has led to our current position in the league I feel. I am not massively worried, I do think we have put together some quite useful building blocks that can take us to mid table safety, but it is now time to be honest about this.

To be honest I did not expect t us to be in the bottom four, as we stand ,and also I did not expect to be anywhere above lower mid league but with all that's gone on at Planmore in the last few weeks it's maybe not a surprise.Mr Cox and the new board together have managed to put the team in this position and in fairness Mr Ramshaw has been very honest and stayed on to see things out despite it not being his bag.I am at a complete loss at the goings on on this forum re cox resigns postings ,selling the ground, not selling the ground ,can we buy the ground, who's trying to buy the ground?what a load of tripe, our job is to support the new manager and turn up at plainmore and make plenty of noise. In my opinion we have some good players and the making of a half decent side when you consider we have been without Young and Fairbrother all season,we know the weakness is at center back and mid field and I am sure that the new manger will identify these positions . It's still only the end of September,if we are still in the same position in March then hello national league south but I am confident we will be in this league next season.
