Well what a fantastic supporter you are. Criticise the players for giving up then do the same thing.

The quickest way to ensure the club dies is to stop going.

To the rest of the fans, congratulations on your support today I thought we stayed with the lads well. Could quite easily turned on them but no one near me did, shouting encouragement till the bitter end. The linesman took the abuse!

People seem to respect the situation. A young team, lost their manage, doubts over their future...it was never going to be easy today.

Torquay till I die, or the club does, whichever is first.

One more thing. At start of 2nd half when they expected us to come out fighting, and we did a bit, they then time wasted and took the sting out of us. The ref should have taken control because although some call it professionalism I call it cheating.

If you thought last seasons defeat to Braintree was bad enough, today's performance eclipses it by a country mile.

After our first went in, I was feeling quite positive about getting a result. However, after they scored 2 in 5 mins to go 2:1 up, our heads dropped and from that moment we were never in the game.

The positives, from a Torquay point of view:

- We did score 3, (it's just a shame that we let 7 in the other end :@)
- The final whistle
- It was a warm day in the Bay

Negatives (where do I start - and this list isn't exhaustive)

- There was no passion
- No desire
- No spirit
- No fight
- In fact, fu(k all of anything. After the off field turmoil this week, it's apparent there's no confidence in the team either.

It doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to see that the events of this week have affected the players. However, this doesn't excuse today's performance. To let SEVEN in at home is inexcusable. The sooner we get some stability the better.

Hats off to the Bromley fans. They were in good voice. As for their last goal, what a move and strike. Take a bow son .

In summary, this has got to be our worst performance in many a year. Tonight, I'm fuming, pi$$ed off and angry about how sh1t our team has become. But you know what, they're my sh1t team and I'll be there on Tuesday cheering them on. Torquay till I die!

C'mon you Yeeeeeellllllllooooooowwwwwwwssssssss :scarf:

We were awful today. For all those not there let me make it clear, Bromley are not a great side by any means BUT they were far better than us !! I really cannot remember a worst display of defending in 40 years of going to Plainmoor.
As many have said, 5 at the back does not work. All on the terraces could see this today but for some reason the management were blind to this fact. No change in formation took place when we were being hammered - why not?
No faith in Ramshaw an even less in Edwards!!!
Will not be there on Tuesday - I cannot justify £16 to watch utter dross. Admiration to those who decide to keep going.

Further to the bit I didn't want to get lost on this thread, I don't know about playing with 9 players, today in my opinion we've played with 3 players, Hurst, Smith, and Marsh, the rest barring Lavercombe who doesn't deserve criticism, the rest should be in for double training tomorrow.

I do not want to seem as I'm being Harsh on Dan Lavercombe today, thought he got it all wrong for the free-kick 5th goal , can't be blamed for the rest, and did make some very good saves.

This 5 at the back does not work. I am sure a back 4 with Angus, Smith, Butler and a new right back would work better. The reason I say new right back is that I believe Hurst should play as a winger, the guy is electric.
The other concern is the midfield. We need some steel in there.
So. We're alright up front then...

On today's viewing, Steve Breed needs to be at his desk, reading through his emails right now and getting a suitable manager in ASAP.

Can you imagine how many fans will be at the next home game if we lose to Boreham Wood? I dread to think.

We need to be hard to beat and defend or even having Ronaldo and Messi up top wont help. The strikers arent world beaters but its not the priority . If they had scored 6 today we still would have lost. The first rule of football is a good defence, then you build a team from there.

I didn't think we could sink any lower than last season's 1-5 defeat to Braintree but this has to be the lowest point in our history. That was absolutely humiliating. The defending was comical. You could have plucked a few fans from the crowd and they would have fared better. Bromley were made to look like Barcelona. They dominated the midfield and tore our defence apart with their speedy forwards. Ademola was outstanding and received a standing ovation from the whole ground when he was subbed. His first goal was a decent strike but all of the goals were avoidable and down to atrocious defending.

Lavercombe was distraught at the end of the match and had to be consoled by Spiess and Veysey as he left the pitch. His confidence will be at rock bottom but apart from a dodgy kick which led to their fourth goal, I didn't think he did much wrong. Spiess wouldn't have made a difference - heck neither would Gordon Banks! The back three were awful. The match sponsors must have been pissed again to award Smith MOTM. He was the least shit out of our back three but was still shit. Ex and Angus were dreadful. I don't know how they can call themselves professional players after that performance. Smith at least has looked good this season but the other two have been generally poor.

In midfield we were just as bad. I've heard Fenwick is the best passer at the club. Well he made Heslop look like Xavi today. He was out of his depth. Carmichael was rubbish too. He set up our third goal but that was one of the few times he passed to a yellow shirt. Bell came on for his debut with his bright pink boots and was just as bad. We seem to be very good at signing very ineffective midfielders. On the subject of ineffective, over to Briscoe who was a passenger for the hour he was on the field. Lavelle-Moore was so bad I felt sorry for him. He needs to spend the rest of the weekend reading up on the offside rule.

The three players who can hold their heads high are Marsh, Hurst and Butler. Marsh scored two instinctive goals, plays off the last defender and is our most predatory striker. Hurst headed in the opening goal - that feels a lifetime ago - and was positive going forward. Sometimes he takes on one too many players but who can blame him? Butler did well on the ball and set up some promising attacks despite no support down the left flank. However, we need to ditch 3-5-2 and go back to basics because we're not good enough to cover our wing-backs when they go forward. Butler can play left-back, Hurst right wing in front of a new right-back and Smith alongside Angus or a new centre-back in the middle. Ex isn't cut out for this level. No pace, no leadership and even his throws weren't dangerous today. Desperate times. Who the heck would want to take this job on?!

For those saying we need new/different players and the ones on the pitch weren't good enough etc, can I just remind them that we have NO money and NO prospect of getting any money. The squad we have is all we have to work with. Forget about new signings. There won't be any. I wish I could put a positive spin on this message but really don't know how.

What a crap performance.

1.I've got to ask why Cox was not on a contract when all the players are, who ever sanctioned this is destroying the club.
2.Who allowed Ramshaw to be in the dugout if he's going to follow Cox. (Is he on contract)

I thought all the players gave everything today and never gave up even though there were some bad periods in the game. The problem today was the Bromley manager did his homework and played his pacey strikers on the outside of our three at the back. We scored a good goal early on but after twenty minutes we should have switched to a back four as Bromley played on McDonald as there was yards of space on the outside of him everytime they attacked. Hurst was in no mans land playing virtually as a winger leaving Mcdonald exposed and most of their chances came from this.At this time we should have switched to a 4-4-2 formation and I am confident that we would not be looking at a 3-7 result. I was behind the dugout and was so frustrated that I shouted at the pair in the dugout to change it to 4-4-2 but alas they came out the same in the second half. (We are better than this)

Today it was an inept performance from the dugout as one was clueless and the other not interested. I will be surprised if we get a 1,000 on Tuesday unless a manager is installed pretty quick as this pair have not got a clue and let the players down.

I would have taken our throw-in specialist off after twenty minutes leaving McDonald and Smith central leaving the fullbacks as they were. I thought Marsh looked sharp and proved that we could have done better by scoring his hat-trick if only we had the sense to tighten up at the back early on. Oh and you can't blame the keeper he was let down!
I thought when we went behind Ramshaw let Edwards carry on in control(Doing nothing) as I don't think that he will be here Tuesday. I heard a director in the crowd state that he was still very friendly with Cox and he's a nice bloke, how can that be.

We have to remain united. We have 35 games of the season left, if anything this is the best wake up call we can get. However, we need an external manager on a contract. Please give ling a ring or buckle. And if that fails, get your gardener costing 80k a year back.

I understand how peed off everyone is but lets be sensible. There wont be a new manager in by Tuesday so DE and JR will be there again. What else can the board do in the very short term?

I fear a Don O'Riordan repeat here. Wasnt it 0-4 on the Tuesday and 1-7 on the Saturday?
