I'm just waiting for the commentator on the FLS to begin referring to us as 'The L2 draw specialists".

Rotherham a very big, very powerful side, and in the Marshall, they have an excellent winger. Disappointed in our defending AGAIN though. Not one of their goals was of any real quality and certainly not the type of thing which ought to trouble a FL defence.

Saah does now seem to be over his ropey spell, he played well again yesterday. Nico was brilliant as usual.

My concern is that we are a little pedestrian and a little predictable in the build up. I lost count of the number of times the ball went from Bobby to Robbo, out to Nico, little ball up the line to Bodin, Bodin under pressure lays it inside to Eunan who looks for one more square to Manse, ball gets intercepted... repeat as required.

Matt.

Soton will be after you for that!!!

You're quite right though, for every pass completed, 3 or 4 got intercepted/miss hit. Not his best game this season IMO

Correct ;-)

It isn't Eunans fault if Mansell can't get to the ball in good time

I watched the Football League show and Gulls Player and I really believe Martin Ling is close to a very useful side. Great team spirit.
Eunan is absolute class and way better than League 2. I love the calm way Rene scored our third goal. Billy Bodin is a huge plus and will make a big difference. I think there was an element of good fortune in 2 of the rotherham goals. Rotherham look certain to finish in the top 3.
You wont believe how many good players there are in Portugal playing in front of crowds of less than 2000. Many of them earn no more than 2000 to 3000euros per month. Many start their careers in South America mainly Brazil and Argentina.
Fancy a trip to Portugal Martin?

Is it needlessly optimistic to suggest that, despite their hardly changing their game to sit back and defend, we beat Rotherham 3-1 over an 80 minute match?

We have, therefore, in this slightly altered truth, taken apart one of the very best sides in this division.

Am I viewing this all wrong, or am I being fair?
