Stockport County v Torquay United 28/9/19

Poor ol' Culmstockgull has taken some 'stick' on here following yesterday's match. In his defence, whilst I do not agree with his views, I bet anyone who had predicted that we would be 4 - 0 up away to Stockport by half time would have been called a buffoon! That's the frustration of this game we lo...

Re: Torquay VS Eastleigh 7:45 24.9

I cannot believe the double standards that are being applied . Earlier in the season Mcdonald, Niate, Cameron,Duku and Keating came in for some dreadful stick and on a regular basis from any number of contributors on this forum. I didn't see too many of you sticking your heads over the parapet to d...

Ex-Gull watch

Joe Quigley scored twice for Dagenham & Redbridge in their 3 - 1 home win which takes them into the play off places. I thought he looked a good prospect when he was on loan at Plainmoor, but looking at his playing career, he has played for numerous clubs on loan so something not quite right with...

We had a very bizarre experience by the canal! Want to know more?
Oooo ...... tell us, Portugull. We all want to know more!

Torquay United v Harrogate Town 7/9/19

The referee not to many complaints there, the key decisions think he got right, the Davis booking for diving rather than an award for a penalty, you just have to look at the reaction of Davis, and our team, Davis himself didn't put up much of a protest, the rest the no protest what so ever, they kn...

MOTM - Harrogate Town

Ben Wynter - solid in defence and involved in the build up to two, maybe three, of the goals Kalvin Kalala - changed the game when he came on. Great strike for his goal. If only he could play with consistency every week Jamie Reid - battled hard virtually on his own up front against some uncompromis...

Torquay United v Harrogate Town 7/9/19

Couldn't understand why we constantly played the long high ball in the first half which was meat and drink to the Harrogate defenders. I think Kalala's introduction in the second half changed the game more than Stead's sending off, although it was good to see him go. For Harrogate, read Hartlepool. ...

Not good news, but I'm sure he will take the positives from the likes of Chris Todd who have come through cancer treatment. However, having been through chemo/radiotherapy myself, the next few months will not be easy for Angus. To him, and anyone else going through it, the best advice I was given wa...

Torquay United v Hartlepool United 31/8/19

I think you're right. That was one decision the linesman did get right. Actually, in that 10 minute clip we didn't look too bad. Shame about the other 84 minutes, although overall I feel there will be days when we play worse than we did on Saturday and win.

Torquay United v Hartlepool United 31/8/19

I think some of are problems stem from trying to shoehorn Hall, Little and CLE into the side - I understand why you would want to but it’s simply not working. I agree with this. I think this is the root of the problem. We have Hall, Lemonheigh-Evans, Little, Andrews and young Frank Vincent - all go...

Bolton and Bury

If all of the 92 league and prem. clubs paid 1% of their gate money into a central fund, and then split the fund 92 ways at the end of the season, it might help. Man.City, United, Liverpool etc. would hardly notice the difference. An interesting concept, Wodger. When I first read your post, I must ...

Defensive Fragility

Playing the way we do with an attacking game we are always going to be slightly vulnerable defensively - as has been said you can't have it all ways. I agree with Brucie ...... ;-) No Culmstock - I think I go back further than you - even further back than Wivel. Yes - I well remember John Benson. G...
