Mike Fondop - Remember him?

budegull1954 wrote: 14 Oct 2017, 16:34 Just goes to prove my posting earlier in the week that ex-Gulls players always seem to do better when they leave Torquay.
Also scored for Guiseley, KN got us in this shit with his poor player judgement amongst many other failings.

Mike Fondop - Remember him?

Yes he looked good but the opposition was non-league... perhaps Gray is just not the type of player that Owers wants? Although I mean Murphy has hardly set the world on fire. Yes lets see how he get's on.

Fa Cup 4th qualifying round Aldershot v Torquay 14/10/17

The rather hysterical and 'flouncy' "Oh Christ, he's having a go at Gowling now, I don't know whether to laugh or cry" is what drew my attention as if no-one can be identified as being at fault with something that goes wrong. Gowling clearly was very poor in both of those goals conceded l...

Last weekend against Dover their CB must have headed the ball straight back about 20 times from McGinty's aimless distribution.

Will be interesting to see how Mike Fondop does for Guiseley, rejected by KN pre-season.

Gowling hands in transfer request

I don't know whether this is true or not, but, out of all the players who started the season, Gowling has been the only one to show he's truly and fully committed to the cause. His reaction after the game showed he is still fully committed to the cause, and suggested this rumour is a load of old co...

Fa Cup 4th qualifying round Aldershot v Torquay 14/10/17

While some on here (not all) are "ball watching" after Gowling fails to put in a headed challenge, I'm watching the player Gowling was marking head straight for the penaltly area while Gowling flounders ball watching. That is of equal concern. I do hope Owers/Kuhl and the gang have seen t...

I would agree; those who are fit for purpose are not performing in a fit for purpose manner either; and the very experienced management will now it is either 'them or us' if this continues. Weak challenges, lack of resolve to maintain and win possession; stop and block crosses and balls coming thro...

St Lukes Cup vs Cullompton Rangers

Buckland Athletic played a second string team and lost 8.0 at Tiverton, is this because, they know the importance of not risking injury to their key players in a meaningless competition, when promotion is their main aim, is it also, because they know the importance of giving squad players who haven...
