Altrincham.v.Torquay
Why is anyone surprised at our current status? Surely no one expected promotion this season. With the reduced wage bill CH could only attract the type of player he has. Presumably it will be no different next season. I've watched the 'mighty' Bristol Rovers draw 0-0 at a very workmanlike Woking this...

According to OS Ryan Bowman is a real doubt for Saturday. For those who find his current form frustrating a rest may be a good thing and give Briscoe a chance to play as the main striker.

The Torquay Fans Forum Durrell Berry Crowdfunding appeal
I'm keen to donate but likewise I'm waiting to see the appeal has official backing.
Let's have some proactivity from the club, this is tied up with my plea that the Chairman should come out with a New Year message to fans about the club's plans for 2015.

Yes, I'd add to the kitty!
This is just an occasion when it would be good to see the Club proactive.

According to CH quoted in an article on today's BBC Sport website the Club still cannot afford to pay Durrell what he wants for a contract. What a pity the person who stumped up £50,000 for Billy Bodin didn't wait as Berry is a class act and sadly could be off before the Transfer Window closes; hope...

3rd Round draw at lunchtime today. Since we've had Bishop's Stortford and Bromley, how about Bath City next?!

Re: Benyon goes out on loan
A mixed afternoon for Elliot. Missed a penalty (saved) yesterday after he was brought down at Bishop's Stortford. Taken off after 74 minutes with his new side 2-0 down but Hayes & Yeading came back to draw 2-2.

£300,000 Off The Wage Bill
Interesting story on BBC Sport website with CH saying that when the high earners leave in the Summer the Club will wipe up to £300,000 off the wage bill. On the HE podcast today David Thomas reveals the Club were offered a well known bottom half League 2 player if Torquay picked up half his £1700 we...

At least Stockley won't be returning from Bournemouth as he's gone on loan to Luton.

Ideas for Mr Candy
Hi Andrew Sorry me again! I hope that this Board meeting you mentioned is happening soon as I really believe that the Chairman needs to issue her New Year message to map out the Club's direction for 2015 and how the Board can support the manager. We have a really important FA Trophy game on Saturday...

That's the only conclusion to be drawn, hopefully. Maybe someone from Bournemouth? Or from Plymouth as Sherridan was quoted about letting his fringe players out on loan.

Their squad contains a number of ex-League players: their keeper is Seb Brown (Wimbledon) and an ex-Gull in Jordan Robertson who we had on loan from Sheffield Utd.

A Bromley side lost at home last night in the London Senior Cup 0-2 to Corinthian Casuals. I say 'a Bromley side' as not surprisingly it was filled with their academy players.

Need to beat Bromley on Saturday then especially as a cup run will generate much needed income.
