Re: Player of the month went to....
I think it was between him and the Stanley keeper. I'm not sure it matters how many he scored in one game - 5 goals in 6? games is a decent ratio at any level. If Benners had those stats and hadn't got it, we'd have felt aggrieved.

Fonda (That's me)
Hi, my name is Shane and i'm an alcoholic, oh no wrong place. I live with girlfriend and our dog in Babbacombe. It's very nice to be back in the Bay - or it would be if a) it wasn't crumbling into the sea, b) there were some jobs in the area and c) it wasn't infested with disrespectful chavs. Still,...

I replied to this then thought, what the hell, i'll have my very own 'hello' thread. It's somewhere else.

Re: Danny Senda?
So what's the verdict on his performance last night? I see he lasted the full 90 minutes but there is no mention of him in the match report. On the subject of trialists. Does anyone know what happened with Bas Savage and the other lad (I forget who it was but there was someone else at the same time...

Re: Danny Senda?
If he could prove his fitness, he'd be a quality addition to the squad. As you say CP, definitely offers a different option.

I think i'd prefer it on the left too. Though i acknowledge it's a minor point.happytorq wrote:Glad to be back, pleased that you've moved it to phpBB 3. Personally it feels a bit wrong to me to have the profile info on the right, but not really a big deal..

Re: Mr John Salako
Fans from the 'big city' joke that 'country bumpkins' such as oursleves are inbred and backward. It's a bit of a shame an element of our support seem keen to provide them with supporting evidence.

Re: Southend - Torquay
But there is a further consideration. The importance, in terms of morale, of maintaining that winning run at Bournemouth was probably a factor in his thinking. Perhaps he didn't envisage the tiredness, and was most concerned about keeping the winning mentality.

Re: Football League Show
Unfortunately, it seems the brightness of the media spotlight was something of a distraction, and we took our eyes off the ball.

Latest Sky Blog...
Another installment. I knew it would all go wrong after i wrote this one. http://www.skysports.com/fanzone/blogs/story/0,24015,16965_6348179,00.html I think it reads a bit strangely in places unfortunately. I wrote it before the Port Vale game, but they weren't ready to put it on the site until afte...

Re: Southend - Torquay
Lose the Ballmouth game, and we are out of the cup for a whole year. Lose the league match, and we have the whole year to make up those three points. Matt. League points are more important than the JPT surely? I'd certainly much rather we were top with 5 wins out of 5, than where we are with a trip...

Re: Mr John Salako
Unfortunately, we do have this 'element' of our support, who aren't happy unless they are abusing someone - be it individuals or opposition supporters. It's all a bit distasteful really. Salako was the unfortunate target this weekend - and just because he tipped us for relegation? As alluded to abov...

Re: Welcome back
That's a relief! Something good has come of this weekend at least! Good to see the board back on-line.
