Potential Signings
With Exodus Geohagen apparently starting the friendly tonight, it would seem Cox sees the need for an experienced head at the back. As for Geohagen himself, he ticks a lot of the requisite boxes for a TUFC trialist: great name (anyone else remember Justice under Leroy?!), declining career and spoof ...

Hargreaves, Hodges and Veysey on Gardening leave
[/size] Who would you suggest then? or don't you like player managers? Apologies if my reply seemed rude, I genuinely thought you were joking. Player-manager wouldn't be the way I'd go, but if we did go down that route it'd more likely be a lower league journeyman, or someone who has played most re...

Hargreaves, Hodges and Veysey on Gardening leave
But if the consortium think they have a man who will do better - mid table looking up, a more competitive team, or even a play off push, I don't think it's madness to suggest that the 1200 average crowd we would get under Hargreaves could quite easily turn into a 1700 average crowd. Job done, sacki...

Hargreaves, Hodges and Veysey on Gardening leave
Difficult to understand this move. Before they've even started the rebuilding process , the new consortium has burdened itself with a substantial outlay (I'd estimate in the region of £100k) with nothing to show for it. Had the trio accepted the reduced terms, it would've made it cheaper for them to...

I feel we'll need Richards and Young back to their best tonight. Though it was a few years ago, I distinctly remember the very physical Solomon Taiwo destroying our central midfield when we visited Dagenham in our first season back in the Football League.

Kidderminster Harriers v Torquay United
Highlighting where Hargreaves seems to be going wrong doesn't mean I think there's a better option out there for us. His fixture scheduling rant and failure to put Courtney Richards out of his misery at Alfreton were massive errors of judgment. I do, though, think the side suffered greatly when we l...

Niall Thompson's selection today screams of a team horrendously out of form and a manager scrabbling desperately for ideas to turn it around. I appreciate Thompson has pace that could exploit Nicholson, but Ajala's hardly pedestrian and has been a bright if unpredictable spark at times.

Alfreton Town v Torquay United – Saturday 11th October 2014
A real low point for the club, this performance. To play this atrociously at any time would be scandalous, but to do so live on TV against such poor opposition is unforgivable. Richards has had a shocker, but Hargreaves owes him an apology for not taking him out of that situation when it was immedia...

Alfreton Town v Torquay United – Saturday 11th October 2014
Any ball played vaguely in the direction of our goal is ripping our defence to shreds. In all of the bad times as a Torquay fan, I've never seen such pitiful defending as I'm currently witnessing.

Utterly embarrassing. Release Hutchings now and recruit a loan CB as cover if Richards is deemed a better option. I love Hargreaves, but so far he has got this so wrong tonight.

Best goals seen at PLAINMOOR
Danny Stevens scored a belter from outside the box, against Stevenage in the 2010-11 season. :) A brilliant goal made all the more memorable for the fact the ball looped to Stevens on the edge of the box directly after another player, I think it was Ben Pringle, had struck powerfully against the cr...

New kit manufacturer?
So, the new kit has finally been unveiled. As a fan of a proper collar and the yellow and white stripes, I have to say I'm pretty underwhelmed. The fuzziness of the picture makes it difficult to judge, though.

I have no reason to doubt Roadrunner, and will be extremely pleased when it is confirmed. Young has plenty of Football League experience, is bound to settle quickly as a local lad, and at 21 has plenty of scope to build on his obvious potential. Importantly for our finances, and unlike a lot of our ...

Of those mentioned, I'd happily see Tonge and Hawley replaced by Jombati and Midson, but think it highly unlikely. I'm surprised to read of Jombati's poor form, as he's always seemed one of the most accomplished fullbacks in the division. That said, Dale Tonge looked like a really solid player in Au...
