Management options

Breaking radio silence to wish Robbie Herrera good luck for the Guiseley game tomorrow. Also, won't this much vaunted (well, talked about a while ago and almost completely forgotten by now) 'local board' - due to be announced in under two weeks, iirc - want to have some say in who the new manager mi...

Keeping Our Eye on the Ball

It's actually no change at all. it's just a public acknowledgement of what the situation has always been since GI took over the club. The situation always was that Montgomery (TDA) and Mowatt (department head) at the council were in discussions with GI and that the Council (ie: elected members) woul...

Who should control the Players' Fund?

I distinctly remember Steve saying he would publish a full account of the Players Fund at the end of last season and then (of course) he ceased to be CEO before that could have been done and so it became the responsibility of whoever took over his duties and was patently not done.....it was for tha...

Who should control the Players' Fund?

With the greatest of respect, no evidence has been produced to support that. And with the greatest of respect, you haven't been involved with the club for over a year, so will have little idea of the financial arrangements currently in place. I'm not suggesting any wrongdoing, just that the arrangem...

Who should control the Players' Fund?

Cheers, Scott, but there's no evidence that those accounts aren't the general TUFC one!

Who should control the Players' Fund?

It's not my intention to be 'unfair' to anyone, but I distinctly recall assertions on this site and others that the money was assimilated into the TUFC general account. Perhaps you could provide hard evidence to the contrary? Account numbers and sort codes? That ought to do it. As a postscript: I've...

TUFC Consultation Survey 2017

Interesting that we should be told that the Herald Express would be running the fans consultation, yet here we are with the 'consultation' on the free Survey Monkey app online.

Who should control the Players' Fund?

Which brings me to the Players' Fund. We know from Steve Breed that it had a separate bank account and should therefore be ring-fenced. What? I thought we 'knew' completely the opposite: that the money went straight into the everyday TUFC account. So far as I know (or care; I don't contribute), the...

Talk Sport next Friday 28/04

He still has to make the decision himself, Eddie, despite what your dad might tell you. Under the constitution, it's a mayoral decision. He can, of course, refer it to council for debate and advice, and in the past he might well have done that, but essentially, that's what the PDDGs have been invent...

"There's gonna be a riot". ?

Absolutely no need for there to be a riot but we do need to make the mayor aware of our feelings and plans are in place for a fans gathering outside of the town hall on Saturday 29th at 10.00am. If the mayor is of the opinion that any decision that he makes will make him unpopular, he'll almost cer...

Anyone fancy standing for our MP as a 'Save TUFC from GI' candidate?

Well I bet GI are laughing all the way to the bank. We are divided on here, the handfull of posters actually on here cant agree on nearly anything. The proposal that there are more important thingsis ridiculous. Of course there is, but if you take that view then you can say that about anything. I w...

Anyone fancy standing for our MP as a 'Save TUFC from GI' candidate?

The realistic aim of any marginal candidate is not necessarily to win; generally the entrenched parties make that very hard to do. But a vocal outsider can shift the conversation of those mainstream candidates once they see that there's a will to engage on a particular topic. That's the hope that w...

Anyone fancy standing for our MP as a 'Save TUFC from GI' candidate?

It's not a case of not being bothered to do it myself soupdragon. A request coming from the administrators of a message board that has a large membership could be used as a tool if such meetings were ever to take place. Talking of tools it's little wonder I rarely post on here. Apologies for pressi...

Anyone fancy standing for our MP as a 'Save TUFC from GI' candidate?

This forum has 2373 members that's why. Perhaps I'm being dim. Nothing new there. But if you want to check something out with the Trust, why don't you do just that? Why expect one of the other 2372 forum members on here to do it for you? You could have sent the Trust a message in the time it's take...

No, I mean why don't you contact the Trust to ask them, rather than ask someone else to do it? You could have done it by now and be reporting back to the rest of us!
